What I’ve been up to?
We were supposed to get another snowstorm this week but just got some rain while the mountains got more snow.
Later this week we’ll be traveling to Montana to take our son to his new job and help get him settled. He doesn’t NEED our help :). But I want to help and make sure his new home is safe and he is set up as much as possible. It’s a long 2 day drive up there and back, and we’ll be towing his car up there too. I’m just hoping for good weather.
Last week I read:
I had a good reading week but didn’t read as much as I have been. I’ve been watching a lot of TV this week 🙂 They were all good books, my favorite was On Spine of Death.
Next week I hope to get to:
What I Watched:
I’m so glad The Crown season 5 was released. It’s totally the reason I didn’t read as much last week. It was a little strange to see Deloras Umbridge from Harry Potter playing the Queen. But, eventually, I was able to see Imelda Staunton as the Queen instead of Deloras!

I hope you had a lovely trip and all went well with your son. The picture is beautiful.
Hope you have a good trip this week and getting your son settled in and everything. We’ve also watched The Crown this week.
Thank you, Rolé
The mountain view is beautiful. I hope the weather holds for your trip.
I love all of your colorful covers. On Spine of Death sounds like a good cozy.
Hope you enjoy good reading this week.
Thank you, Martha!
The mountains are gorgeous! Good luck in Montana and getting your son settled. I’m so excited to read On Spine of Death. I really enjoyed the first book. Have a great week!
Thank you, Katherine. I hope you enjoy On Spine of Death.

Thank you, I hope you have a great week too
I totally understand wanting to get your son settled, Wendy. We did the same with both our sons. I’ve also been watching the crown (with the same feelings about Delores, lol), and only have one more episode left.
I’m trying to go slow on the Crown, but it’s so good!
I’m crossing my fingers that you’ll have good weather too! It’s supposed to snow by me tomorrow
I’m a bit worried about the weather, but we have extra time in case we have to pull off the road for a while.
Good luck with the Montana drive – hope you have a great audiobook to listen to.
Thank you! Yes I have some lined up!
I hope the weather holds for your travels. I devoured the new season of Crown this weekend.
Thank you, Kimberly. November isn’t the best time to drive to Montana, but we’ll make it work.
That’s a long drive to Montana! Hope you see some beautiful sights along the way and get good weather. It’s a toss up there.
Yes, I’m a bit worried about the weather, but I have some backup plans.
Good luck with the trip, and best of luck to your son 🙂
Have fun in Montana and just tell your son it’s a parent’s prerogative to help their children move whether they need it or not. 😇 Those snow covered mountains are beautiful 😍
Thank you, Tessa! I’ll tell him!
Thank you, Greg!
I’m so glad you liked Spine of Death; I’m really looking forward to reading it. I don’t subscribe to Netflix but I watched the trailer anyway, and I can see why you didn’t get much reading done!
Spine of Death was a bit more fun than the first book. The Crown is such a wonderful show, I’m really enjoying it.
I hope you have a wonderful visit with your son!
Thank you, Lydia!
I hope you have a nice road trip this week! I’ve heard The Crown is good.
Great picture of Flagstaff Mountains! I watch Sister Wives and they live in Flagstaff.
I watch Sister Wives too! Mostly for the pretty pictures of my town, but I’ve watched them from the very beginning. I’ve never seen any of them in town, but they live on the other side of town.
Helping your son leave home can be kind of bittersweet time – hope the trip goes smoothly. And you’ve had another good week of reading; hope you find time for some reading on your trip. Drive safely!

Thank. you, Terrie! It’s going to be a fast-moving trip, so any reading I get will be good.
Lovely photos. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip!
Thank you, Anne!
Beautiful mountains! Mountains, especially snow-covered, are my favorite. I hope you have good weather during your trip to Montana. I hope you drive safely!
My Post
Thank you, Jenni! I’m hoping for good weather, but I have back up plans if we hit some bad weather
Ahhh I miss mountains! Yours are beautiful.
I haven’t started S5 of The Crown yet.
Be safe driving to Montana!
Thank. you, Jinger. I’ve only watched a couple of shows, but so far it’s pretty good.
I hope the weather is good for your drive! Yeah, my parents always helped me move when I was younger even when I probably didn’t need the help. But I’m glad they did. It was interesting when the actress who plays Umbrage in HP was in the Downton Abbey movies too. I’m excited for Well Traveled too! Have a good week!
Thank you, Lisa! I’m hoping for good weather too
Ha ha. I can’t stop thinking of Dolores Umbridge either when I see any clips. Wishing you a great reading week and a smooth trip to Monatana, Wendy🙂
Thank you, Mallika!
Watching The Crown this weekend. Having difficulty adjusting to the new cast.
They are so different, but I think I’ll get used to them after a few more seasons.
The mountains are so beautiful Wendy! Have a safe trip up to Montana and I hope everything goes smoothly!🤗📚☕💜
Thank you, Susan!
I’m not a fan of snow, but mountains always look so pretty with it.
I love it when the snow stays up in the mountains!
I am also watching The Crown. Yes, Imela Staunton is such a good actress that I also can’t unsee her as Umbridge. Diana’s story is so sad, and this brought it all rushing back. Whenever I see Charles and Camilla I think of her.
Have a great and safe trip to Montana!
Thank you, Bonnie!
I hope your son gets settled in and that you have a safe journey there and back Wendy! I’m really looking forward to The Key to My Heart and The Wedding Ranch too. Have a wonderful week ahead.
I hope you have a great week too, Jodie!
I haven’t been able to start the newest Crown season yet and it’s killing me. There’s so much going on right now but hopefully when things settle down a bit I can finally watch.
I hope you can get to it soon!
Gorgeous photo of the mountains, Wendy. What a view!
Thank you, Cathy! I do love Flagstaff.
I love your picture, looks amazing 💕 Hope you have a great week & your son settles into his new job 😊
Thank you, Jenny!
