Where’s Wendy?

We just left Banff National Park after camping there for six wonderful days. So far, it’s been the highlight of our trip. It rained every day, but we had moments of sunlight in between. And the rain didn’t dampen our enjoyment at all!

Lake Louise in Banff National Park was one of the highlights of our time there. It was cold and rainy when we were there, but the lake was just stunning.

Yesterday we traveled up the Icefields Parkway to Jasper National Park. The drive was spectacular! More photos next week!

  1. Your beautiful photos bring back wonderful memories Wendy. I went canoing on Lake Louise with my kids when they were quite young and we had a wonderful time. We also hiked up to the tea house. We met a man with a horn on the way and he let my son try to blow it. It is such a beautiful place. I am so happy to see you enjoying our beautiful country. I agree, Banff is gorgeous, but it has become so busy and commercialized. Nothing like the first time I went there.

  2. I am so glad you are enjoying your vacation! The photos are beautiful, Wendy. From the Jump and The Littlest Library both sound good. I am glad you enjoyed them! I hope you have a great weekend and week ahead!

  3. The cover for The Littlest Library is really appealing. I love it. 😊

Those mountain views are shockingly beautiful! 😮 Thank you for posting. I’m looking forward to more. ❤

I hope you are having a great week! 🌞

  4. Your pictures are wonderful! It looks like a lovely place.
Oh- another grilled cheese mystery! I liked the first one.
Thanks for visiting my blog too.
    Happy Reading!

  5. For Butter or Worse is on my TBR! Can’t wait to get my hands on it! Your pictures and trip has inspired me that next summer I’m going to do a driving vacation around the US to see sights I’ve always wanted to see, like Mount Rushmore, Yosemite park, etc. I don’t have a camper, so there will be hotel stays, and a cousin of my friend who is going with me is letting us stay at one place, but still looking forward to it!

    • I’m almost done with For Butter or Worse and it’s pretty good. A very engaging read. I love Mt. Rushmore. I used to live in the area for several years and it’s where I met my husband. That area is a great place to visit.

  6. Banff looks amazing! The rain wouldn’t dampen my pleasure either. I love the moody clouds passing through. I think that comes from being from dryer areas like California and with you being in Arizona I’m sure you appreciate the rain too. Enjoy your time and keep the pictures coming!

  7. What a lovely lake. Glad you enjoyed your time there, and hope the next leg of the trip is equally wonderful. Wish you a great week ahead, Wendy🙂

  8. I love your pictures of Lake Louise. I’ve always thought it was a beautiful lake. I wish I could see it in person. Hopefully, my husband and I’lll be able to go this next year for our 25th anniversary. I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself and I hope you continue to enjoy your vacation.

  9. We visited Banff and Lake Louise right before Covid shut everything down. Loved both of them – Lake Louise is just stunning. Glad you didn’t let the rain dampen your spirits, Wendy!

  10. omg those pictures are stunning! I’m not much of a mountain girl usually but I might just become one now! I’m doing a reading challenge this month and it’s really helping me get my reading mojo back. I’m making my way through the Murderbot Diaries series by Martha Wells and it’s reminding me of how much I love sci-fi.

  11. Oh! Your pictures are lovely. My dad visited Canada and keeps urging me to go. I can hardly wait until we make it out there! Your photos are so amazing!
The Littlest Library sounds captured my eye! I couldn’t find it at our library, so I’m on hold at paperbackswap.com! Yea! No Parm, No Foul now has me craving a grilled cheese sandwich! LOL!

  12. Your pictures of Banff and Lake Louise are so beautiful! Cold in the middle of summer? Can I please live there?

  13. That water is beautiful. It looks like someone filled it with light blue dye. That’s very cool that it’s naturally that blue and the mountains are stunning!

    • LOL, I am loving spending time in Canada! It’s so beautiful out here in the Rockies. I do think I’ve convinced my sister to take a trip up here.

  14. Banff is stunning! I’m so happy to hear you had an amazing time despite the rain. I can’t wait to see more photos next week! I’m glad you enjoyed your books from last week, looking forward to reading your reviews!

  15. Your vacay pics are amazing. We haven’t been but it looks like it should go on our “let’s go there” list! 🙂
The Littlest Library has a great cover and I’ll go take a look at that – will it be a TBR add?
    Thanks for the visit!

    • So far, Jasper is just as beautiful! I especially enjoyed the drive up the Icefields Parkway. You do live in a beautiful country.

  19. Your photos are absolutely stunning. The beautiful turquoise water below the mountains is just gorgeous. Have a wonderful new week!
