sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at the @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See the rules here: Sunday Post Meme

What I’ve been up to?

I had a mostly quiet week. I have had some issues with my website not letting me comment on my blog and other blogs. My hosting company has fixed most of it, but I’m still having trouble commenting on some blogs. So, if I’ve been inconsistent in commenting, I’m still working to get it fixed.

I’m going to Alabama later this week for a family wedding and reunion. It’s been a while since we’ve all gathered and I’m really looking forward to it. It’ll be my first time flying in a few years, but at least I have a direct flight.

Last week I read:

I had another great week of reading. These books were all good, but nothing stood out as amazing and nothing was a disappointment either.

Audiobooks:

I loved all these audiobooks! The Veronica Speedwell books were a lot of fun. The Happy Ever After Playlist, and Someone Else’s Shoes were both very emotional as was The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry.

Next week I hope to get to:

I may not get to all of these as I’ll be traveling this week. But, I hope to get to some of them.

What I’ll be watching

Like millions of people all over the world, we’ll be watching the Superbowl today. Our team (The Rams) didn’t even make it to the playoffs this year, so I don’t care much who wins. But, I’m hoping for a good close game. It’s being played here in Arizona, but far enough away that I don’t have to worry about traffic and tourists.

I’ve heard that most of the commercials will be booze commercials this year. Last year there were a lot of cryptocurrency commercials, but that market has had a lot of problems this year, so it’s back to booze commercials! I just hope to see the Clydesdales.

I’ve been having issues commenting with another blog, but things seem to be working with yours. It’s nice to have a quiet week. Hope your trip is fun and there’s no hassle with your flights.

  2. Glad you got a direct flight, Wendy. You at least have a better chance of getting there on time, lol. I usually get tons of reading done in airports. Happy travels!

  3. We don’t watch the Super Bowl, but we did watch a football movie–Rudy. It was so good and the themes transcended football. We didn’t intentionally choose a football movie; it just worked out that way. Have a great time in Alabama.

  4. I received a physical copy of The Woman with a Cure last week. It looks so good. Hope you enjoyed it and that you have a wonderful time in Alabama later this week.

  5. Have a great trip to Alabama! And enjoy the game today, we’ll be watching also. We just watched the puppy bowl which was so cute.
And happy reading, I want to read No Life for a Lady. Hope you get the commenting issues fixed too.

  6. In Neighbor Favor the cute premise hooked me and then the execution just fizzled. I never cared about the characters. It was a quick read though! Have a fun getaway!

  7. I heard there will not be a Clydesdale commercial this year, I think, but I could be wrong. I am thinking it should be a pretty close game, as the two teams are pretty close in their stats! And the way the Chiefs keep playing, they like to give their fans heart attacks! We’ll see how it goes. I’m rooting for the Chiefs, but if the Eagles win, that is not horrible, because like I said, the teams are really close! Hope you have a fun time on your trip later this week. I don’t have any trips planned till April, but I’m in the mood to get out of town!

I would say the only issue I have with commenting on your posts is that it will never let me link to a post, it always says internal server error for the Comment Luv.

A wedding in Alabama sounds fun. Hope that you have a great time. I picked up my first Veronica Speedwell yesterday and am looking forward to starting it soon
