Just a quick post to say we’ve been evacuated from our home due to a nearby wildfire. The Pipeline fire in Flagstaff (not a pipeline on fire, but a forest fire named after the pipeline hiking trail) is close to our home. The winds are still in our favor, so we don’t think our home will be in any real danger, but we were ordered to evacuate, so we are staying in a campground on the other side of town until the evacuation order is lifted.
We’re lucky that we found a place where we’re comfortable and we’re able to bring our dogs with us. I seriously doubt the fire will change course and head towards our home, but we’re just being safe.
Needless to say, I won’t be active until I can get organized and settled until they lift the evacuation order and we can go home. I already had scheduled posts out for the rest of the week, so it will look like I’m active, and I’ll try to get online when I can.
The fire started on Sunday, June 12 and it grew very fast, we weren’t evacuated until Monday around noon. Here are some photos I took from our home before we were evacuated:
Thanks to everyone for always being so supportive! 🙂
