Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want. Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.

Today’s Top 10: Favorite Bookstores OR Bookstores I’d Love to Visit Ten Books I Read That I Have Not Reviewed

Today’s topic is Favorite Bookstores OR Bookstores I’d Love to Visit, which is a great topic, but, I just don’t go to many bookstores, so I went with Ten Books I Read That I Have Not Reviewed. There are many reasons why I didn’t review these, but mostly it just came down to time. Plus, most of these are very popular books that have a lot of reviews anyway.

Click on the cover to go to Goodreads for a summary of the book!

1. The Shadow and Bone series by Leigh Bardugo. I loved this series so much!!

2. The Six of Crows Series by Leigh Bardugo. I didn’t think Leigh Bardugo could improve upon Shadow and Bone until I read the Six of Crows series. I loved it!

3. The Road Trip by Beth O’Leary. I loved this one as well. Just never got around to writing a review.

4. The Party Crasher by Sophie Kinsella. Another book I really enjoyed that I just never got around to writing a review for it.

5. The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton. I had an ARC for the second book in this series and wanted to read the first one. This was a laugh out loud kind of book that I really enjoyed.

6. Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult. I want to read more of Jodi Picoult’s backlist so I listened to this and I have to say it’s one of my favorites by Jodi Picoult.

7. The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren. I want to read more of Christina Lauren’s backlist. Not surprisingly, I just loved The Unhoneymooners.

8. Twice Shy by Sarah Hogle. I really enjoyed this one too!

9. The Maid by Nita Prose. I really enjoyed this one too!

10. Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. Another five star book that I never wrote a review for.

  1. I have to finish reading the original Grisha trilogy. I was spoiled for Ruin and Rising the day after it was published and quit reading. I’ve been over it for a long time now, but never got back to it. I should read it next year. 📚

  2. I have read six of these and enjoyed them all, Wendy. I try to write a review of all the books I read, although they are not necessarily long. I might not post them all on my blog, but I try to post on Goodreads and Amazon. Reviewing can be hard sometimes, especially if I don’t do it right away.

  3. I don’t typically review popular backlist books either. It’s nice to read a book sometimes and know I won’t have to write a review. 🙂 I loved the Six of Crows series. I think The Unhoneymooners is still my favorite Christina Lauren book.

  4. I need to make a list of books I’ve read but not reviewed. Normally I’m pretty on top of it but lately I’ve got quite the backlog. I haven’t read any of these but I see several on my TBR.

  5. At this point I pretty much review everything I read, but I have been toying with the idea of reading some books that I missed in series I am reading but not reviewing them. Sometimes it gets overwhelming–and then where’s the fun?

  6. SIX OF CROWS IS BASICALLY MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE AND I’M TRAGICALLY IN LOVE WITH IT. also kaz brekker. I LOVE KAZ BREKKER. honestly, leigh bardugo is just MAGICAL LIKE THAT. i love her.

  7. I have read a lot of these books! I loved Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, The Party Crasher and The Unhoneymooners a lot. I always intend to go back and review a book, but I don’t always get around to it.

  8. I don’t blog review every book I read, but I’m compelled to at least put up some thoughts on GoodReads so later I’ll remember I read it and what I thought. Sometimes its nice to have a break from reviewing and just simply reading for the joy of reading. I’ve not read any of those, but I do want to read the Bardugo books at some point.

  9. This is a great topic!! Can I borrow this sometime? I totally skipped this week because I was not a fan of the topic. lol

Sometimes I find several reasons not to review but mostly time! If it’s not an arc it will most likely get a pass, unless I felt strongly about it one way or the other. I loved so many of these books though!

  10. I don’t visit bookstores either and put my list together really last minute. Thinking about it, I kind of wish I’d done a list of books about bookstores or something, but oh, well! Next time. 🙂 I have one of Beth’s on my shelf that I’d like to read as well as “The Maid,” too.

  11. I don’t think I’ve read any of these. I also don’t review everything I’ve read. Like you, sometimes it is time. Sometimes other reasons.

  12. When you read as much as you do, I’m not surprised that you haven’t reviewed everything. Even though you enjoy blogging, reviewing must be exhausting, lol. I also loved The Unhoneymooners and I really want to read more by Christina Lauren.

  13. I put my own spin on today’s list too. It’s so hard to review all the books that we read. I would love to review more than what I have already done. Great list! 🙂

    • I enjoyed listening to the series on audio. The Netflix series is wonderful. I just watched the trailer for the second season.

    • I borrowed the first Shadow and Bone book from the library, and couldn’t finish it, so I listened to all of the rest on audio.

  14. I’ve heard wonderful things about The Shadow and Bone series and I’m so glad you love it! I have so many books on my list but I’d love to start the series soon.

  15. Once I started writing reviews for books I would feel guilty if I didn’t make time to review them, LOL! The pressure we put on ourselves! I also went a different direction today.

    • I try to review everything I read or listen too. But, I get behind, and if it’s not an arc, I don’t worry too much about it.
