The only author I’ve read on this list is Deanna Raybourn and I love her books. I’m currently listening to Killers of a Certain Age and am enjoying it. Most of the other authors you listed are on my TBR!
I am yet to read all these authors though I have been wanting to read Lessons in Chemistry and Nita Prose’s The Maid for some time.. and Eva Heart’s book cover is so very cool
I haven’t read any of those, but I did read a few new-to-me authors in 2022… Sharon Hinck, Chris Fabry, Denise Weimer, etc…
I’ll have to check out those authors!
Yay for Carley Fortune, Sarah Grunder Ruiz, Karen Winn, and Elle Kennedy! They were all new authors for me, as well. I’m excited to read more from them.
I hope we enjoy their future books!
These are all new to me. May you discover many more great authors in 2023 and continue reading the ones you love!
Thank you! And I hope you discover many new authors too
I’ve not read any of these, but Killers of A Certain Age sounds like an interesting read.
It’s so clever! I hope you get a chance to read it someday
Killers of A Certain Age was so good. I’m currently reading her Veronica Speedwell series and LOVING it!!
I have an arc for #8 in the Speedwell series. So, I need to read some of the series first!
I’ve read Elle Kennedy before but it’s been a long time. My favorites are her collaborations with Sarina Bowen. I definitely want to try that Julia Whelan book!
I hope you enjoy the Julia Whelan book, It was one of my favorites from last year.
I’ve not read any of these, but Killers of A Certain Age is one I want to get to this year, so I’m glad to see you enjoyed it.
It’s a good one, Jo. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Most of these I haven’t read. I started listening to the Julia Whelan one, but I’m not sure I’m enjoying it. I like her as a narrator, but the story is kind of eh for me. I do love Elle Kennedy, but have only read some of her novellas I think!
I love Elle Kennedy too. I’ve only read one of her books, but I’m hoping to read more this year
It always feels amazing how many similar books we read and we both enjoy them. Great list! Nan Fischer is also on my new author list.
I can’t wait to see what Nan Fischer comes out with next!
I really enjoyed The Maid and am looking forward to reading Killers of a Certain Age and Lessons in Chemistry. Great list, Wendy🙂
Thank you, Mallika! I hope you enjoy Lessons in Chemistry and Killers of a Certain Age
Yay for Killers of a Certain Age! I need to read Lessons in Chemistry. That book is everywhere!
Lessons in Chemistry is so good!
Lessons in Chemistry was a fave new author for me too. I still haven’t got around to The Maid or Killers of a Certain Age though I’m on the library wait list. I love finding new authors and this week is certainly adding to my TBR with every visit!

Great. I’ll check it out.
I had no idea Julia Whelan was an author herself. Her narration is always great. 🙂
I agree! And she’s a wonderful author
Great list Wendy. I have read 5 of these authors and enjoyed them. That means I have 5 others to check out. I hope my TBR doesn’t grow too much today.

I know! That’s what’s so cool about this topic today.
I love Deanna Raybourn’s Veronica Speedwell mysteries. I’m looking forward to reading Killers of a Certain Age. The other authors here aren’t familiar to me, but I’m glad you found plenty of new authors to enjoy!
