Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want. Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.

Today’s Top 10: Books I Hope Santa Brings This Year

These are all books that are already published that I want to read in 2023. Nobody buys me books because they can’t figure out if I’ve read one or not. So, I get gift cards instead, and here is a list of books I want to purchase!

1. Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. I’ve already started this and so far it’s amazing!

2. Apple Never Fall by Liane Moriarty. I’ve been wanting to read this one for a while.

3. Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. I’ve read so many glowing reviews for this book.

4. The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman. I want to start this series soon.

5. Broken (in the best possible way) by Jenny Lawson. EVERYONE seems to love this one.

6. Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan. Again, the reviews were very good, and I love an emotional book.

7. The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams. This is another series that I want to read. I’ve seem many great review and I love the premise of the series.

Publication Date: March 7, 2023

8. The Nightingale by Kirstin Hannah. Kristin Hanna’s books are long and very detailed, but they always make me think and they are the books that I remember for a long time after I’ve read them.

9. Becoming by Michelle Obama. Again, lots of great reviews.

10. Remarkably Great Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. Again, it looks good and I’ve seen many wonderful reviews.

Do any of these books look good to you? What books did you get for the holidays?

  1. I need to read Demon Copperhead and I have the Nightingale on my shelves also. My daughter told me the same thing, it’s hard to figure out what books to buy me because she won’t know if I read it already lol.

  2. Love the books on your list! I have been meaning to read Kristin Hannah for a while as well 🙂 and yet to read Becoming too…
Happy holidays and hoping your wishes come true

What a great list. I have the Thursday Murder Club but I haven’t read it yet, but my Mum has and she said its really good 😊

  4. Broken is probably my least favorite of Jenny Lawson’s books but I hope you have a better experience with it then I did. So many great books on this list! I hope you enjoy Thursday Murder Club and Apples Never Fall (the audio is great if you can get it) as much as I did!

  5. I’ve read The Thursday Murder Club and enjoyed the characters so much. I want to read the next two. I hope your Christmas wishes are fulfilled!

  6. Great list , Wendy🙂 I loved the second Thursday Murder Club book and want to catch up with the first too. Like you, I’d love to read Tomorriw, Tommorow and Tomorrow and Becoming which has been on my wishlist a long time now.

  7. What a great list! I’ve found several that I’d like to add to my TBR too like Demon Copperhead, Tomorrow, The Thursday Murder Club and The Nightingale. I hope you enjoy Becoming, it was such a lovely read!

  8. I loved all The Bromance Book Club books, and Remarkably Bright Creatures. I know you aren’t big on audiobooks, but I listened to Becoming and Michelle Obama narrated it and it was excellent. I hope you get some of these under your tree, or as Carol says, Amazon gift cards will work. Enjoy whatever you get, Wendy.

  9. It’s safer for my family to give me gift cards too. Although my husband does have access to my wish list and does actually use it from time to time> 🙂 I hope you receive or are able to use a gift card or two to get your hands on some of these, Wendy! I really enjoyed Becoming and The Bromance Book Club.

    • Thank you, Tanya. I’m glad you liked And Before I Let Go, and The Nightingale, now I’m even more excited to get them and read them

  10. I’ve read 3, 8, 9, and 10 and really liked all of them. I have Thurs Murder Club on my list too and have the library book for Demon Copperhead sitting on my desk to read next. What a great list – and so smart to get gift cards. My family is in the same boat. Have a very Happy Holidays Wendy!
