Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want. Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.

Today’s Top 10: Bookish Wishes

I don’t have many physical books, so I thought it would be nice to have some classics on my bookshelf. If I had the space I would love a wall full of classic and contemporary books.

  1. The complete Jane Austen Collection.

2. Anne of Green Gables Collection by L. M. Montgomery

3. The Bronte Sisters collection, Jane Eyre; Wuthering Heights; The Tenant of Wildfell Hall; Villette.

4. Mallika @ Literary Potpourri has been reading the entire Narnia collection and I’m convinced I need to read them all again.

5. I’d love to spend some time and re-read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series.

6. I would like to read some of the Sherlock Holmes books. This box set includes: 1. Adventures of Sherlock Holmes 2. The Hound of the Baskervilles & The Valley of Fear 3. His Last Bow 4. The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes 5. The Return of Sherlock Holmes 6. A Study in Scarlet & The Sign of Four

7. I’d like to have the Peter Rabbit collection to read with my future grandchildren

8. Heidi was one of my favorite books as a child as was Little Women, this collection has Anne of Green Gables, Heidi, Little Women, and A Little Princess.

9. Ramona and Beezus were my best friends when I was a child, so I’d like this collection for me, and my future grandchildren.

10. And Calvin and Hobbs, because they are just too funny.

  1. I have Jane Eyre, Persuasion, and a couple of really old Sherlock Holms, but it would be nice to have a complete set of Austen, Bronte, and Doyle’s books! I have way too many physical books, lol!

    • Oh! Forgot to say I loved Calvin and Hobbs but haven’t read them in a million years! I should get some and read for a laugh. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂

  2. What great sets! I have that Anne of Green Gables set and love it. Can’t even count how many times I’ve read it – I actually bought that exact set when I had read my original set so much some of the books fell apart!

  3. Oh gosh, I just love all these collections!

I have to complete set of Anne of Green Gables, but they are really old. Love them. I have a boxset of all the Roald Dahl books which I love and my Narnia book are all seven in one book. But not a boxset.

I hope all your wishes will come true and that you will be granted more shelf space and all these books to fill it with.

    Lots of Love,

    Elza Reads

  4. I have a few of the clothbound Penguin Classics that were gifted to me and they’re beautiful! Mostly I have Jane Austen’s books, but I also have Great Expectations. Great choices!

AND DID I MENTION I AM IN LOVE WITH YOUR BLOG AND AM INSANELY EXCITED FOR MORE OF YOUR POSTS????

  6. Most of the books on my shelves are classics. I donated almost all of my newer Adult Fiction and YA about three years ago. I only kept the Middle Grade hardcovers because of all the memories reading them with my son. 📚✨

I have the edition of Jane Eyre that’s in the boxed set. It’s not in great shape, though, so I wouldn’t mind having the Brontë sisters set myself. 💜

  7. Great list, Wendy! I do have The Anne of Green Gables series, my husband has the Narnia series, and Lord of the Rings. My son bought (but has not read) the Harry Potter series.

  8. I love these box sets, they look amazing. I have read some of these and some are in process but I do want add more classics on my shelf.

  9. What a great idea and wonderful choices. My perfect “library” (which I will never have, but that’s OK) would be one like Professor Higgins’ huge two-story library in the movie My Fair Lady.

  10. What great collections, Wendy. I have the Narnia collection, Anne of Green Gables and Beatrix Potter, but need to get the Beezus and Ramona series. I loved them as a kid.

  11. These are all such wonderful collections Wendy! I’d also love to add Jane Austen, Anne of Green Gables, and Peter Rabbit to my shelf. #8 has such beautiful covers that it would definitely compliment any bookshelf!

  12. Those classics would look so nice on a bookshelf! Love Calvin and Hobbes!! Those PEter Rabbit ones would be fabulous. I love a good boxed set.

  13. I just added the complete Ramona collection to my TBR. I don’t think my school had all of those books when I was a kid, and I’ve forgotten a lot about the ones they did. So time to finally finish it.

The Chronicles of Narnia are super fun to reread. Enjoy!

    Thanks for stopping by earlier.

I have read a few classics don’t think I still own many now though 😊 great list 💕

  15. I love that you’ve included books for you and your future Grandchildren to enjoy together ☺️. Thanks for sharing these boxed sets Wendy.

  16. I have quite a few of these sets. (Anne of Green Gables, Narnia, Tolkien, Sherlock Holmes, and The Ramona series). Though I really dig some of these editions. Time to expand my wishlist 😂
