What I’ve been up to?
We had more snow this past week. On Monday we got another 8″ of snow. It looks beautiful, and the rest of the week was sunny but cold.
It’s been such a quiet week!
Last week I read:
I had another great week of reading. I loved The Friend Zone and Becoming very much, as I expected to. My big surprise of the week was Stone Cold Fox, it was refreshing and unique, and delightfully evil. (and a debut author!)

I love a quiet week though I’m not sure I’d enjoy all that snow! Enjoy your reading and I hope you’re having a great week!
I listened to Becoming last year and really enjoyed it. I’m glad you did as well, Wendy. I love looking at snow, but am glad I am in Florida and out of the cold and driving in snow and ice. I want to read The Friend Zone, but that is the only one on my TBR. I am intrigued by Stone Cold Fox though. Have a great week!
I hope you liked Becoming!
Snow can be so pretty! It looks like you got some great books.
It looks like you had a great week for reading! I’m only managing a book a week.
I’m trying to get ahead, I have a lot of arcs to get through. Soon the weather will be better and I’ll be reading a lot less.
Hooray for a quiet week. Sometimes those are much needed. Looks like a great reading week, too. Seeing the one by Abby Jimenez reminds me that I really want to read more from her.
I agree, I want to read more by Abby Jimenez too
Looks like you had a great reading week. I can’t wait to hear about all of these books when you post reviews.
Thank you, Deanna!
You had a great week of reading, Wendy! Snowy days are perfect inspiration in my opinion.
I agree, Teri!
I’ve just started Not the Plan. And I thought Stone Cold Fox looked good. I wanted to use the widget but no room, of course. I wonder if that’s one of the physical books they will send me 🤔 It seems like one they will send to a lot of people since it’s a debut. And snow! I bet it’s beautiful. We haven’t seen one flake this year. Have a great week!
I was surprised by Stone Cold Fox, I hope you get it eventually as I think you’d like it.
I have three of these on my tbr too- artfully yours, stone cold fox, and whiskey year one. I hope we both enjoy them.
I just finished all those, and LOVED them. Especially Stone Cold Fox.
Whatever you had is coming OK way. Not so much moisture, but VERY cold temperatures. I’m glad you had a good week of reading.
I hope you stay warm, Linda
You’ve got a great line up of books to read! A few of those are on my TBR, so I hope they’ll be good ones 😁.
Thank you, Lucy!
Eight inches of snow!!! Stay warm, Wendy. I just finished reading Everything is Just Beginning by Erin Bartels. I’m going to take a short break from fiction this week and focus on my nonfiction reads as I have a couple going at the moment. Have a lovely week!
I hope you have a wonderful week too, Jolene!
It was sunny and beautiful this last week, but today it snowed. It’s already melting though. I look forward to your thoughts on Ruby Spencer. I might get a copy.
I just finished Ruby Spencer and Loved it!! It was adorable.
We got dumped on this weekend!
OH wow! I hope you were able to get around safely.
I’ve been seeing Not a Plan around. Does this mean it’s a good read? Hope so!
It’s ok, it’s a bit political for me.
Wow, you got a lot of reading done! Getting snowed in can be productive. Your book haul looks great.
Thank you, Bonnie. The snow is helping me read a lot!
I love snow! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen any though. 🙁
Hope you have a good week!
Thank you! I love the snow too.
I kind of envy you the snow! We keep getting rain here. The lawn is completely sodden, and squelches if you walk on it. (Doesn’t help that half of it is moss rather than grass, and it soaks up water like a sponge.)
Looks like you had a fantastic reading week, and another good one coming up. I have Artfully Yours to read, too, though I’m not sure I’ll get to it this week. And I love that Deanna Raybourn series. I hope you enjoy A Curious Beginning!
Thank you, Lark. I’m about halfway through A Curious Beginning and loving it!!
We also had a little bit more snow (thankfully not 8 inches, LOL), but I was out shoveling the six inches off the driveway so I would get out on Monday! Have a great week!
Thank you, Cindy. I hope you have a great week too!
A Curious Beginning strikes my interest, and I love the cover. I hope you enjoy reading this week!
My Sunday Post.
Thank you! A Curious Beginning is excellent so far
I haven’t read any of those, but almost all of them are on my TBR! And WOW!!! That is a ton of snow! We haven’t gotten much at all this year. Just a dusting or an inch or two here and there. But we often get hit hard in February, so I know it’s not over yet! Hope you have another good week of reading! Snow is perfect for staying in and reading.
We have made some records for snowfall in January this year! I hope you have a great week, Lisa!
You’ve been having a lot of snow lately Wendy! The perfect reading weather. I’m looking forward to your next week in reviews as I am not familiar with any of those books! Have a great week ahead.
Thank you, Jodie!
Looks like a great reading week, Wendy. Glad you finally got to Becoming. I’m yet to. Its years since I lived somewhere with snow and while I liked it, I’m glad our weather’s taken a turn for the better and it’s not so cold now.
It might be time soon for us to move to a place without snow, but not yet!
Wow! What a week of reading! I hope you do t get much snow this week Wendy. Have a lovely week of reading!
Thank you, Susan! I’m hoping for a sunny week this week!
That’s a lot of snow! It does sound beautiful, though.
Thank you, Jennifer! It’s really pretty
I’m glad you have a quiet week. Stone Cold Fox sounds good! We haven’t had real snowfall here just yet, but I’m already over winter lol. Enjoy your books this week!
I hope you have a great week too!
Brrr!!! I think we would grind to a halt here if we had 8 inches of snow. Your books look great Wendy.. Have a lovely week.
Thank you, Janette!
Glad you had a nice quiet week! We got a bit of a snow here this week as well, but definitely not 8 inches of it!
Thank you, Amanda.
Another great reading week 😊 It’s nice to have a quiet week sometimes, hope you have a great week 💕
Thank you, Jenny!
