What I’ve been up to:

Last week I read:

I had a good week of reading. My favorites were The Hotel Nantucket and Gilt. However, they were all good.

Next week I hope to get to:

  1. I love to have a quiet week before a trip so I can take care of things. When I leave for vacation I like to have a clean house if possible and make sure I don’t have tasks weighing on my mind to detract from vacation time. Nice week of reading, Wendy!

  2. I’ll be looking out for your thoughts on Danielle Steele and Anxious People. Have a great reading week ahead!

  3. I love a quiet week! Hotel Nantucket and the Jill Shalvis both look great and I’m hoping to pick up the Jenny Colgan soon. I love her books! Have a wonderful week!

  4. Quiet weeks are perfect for getting ahead before a trip. Hopefully this week will be quiet for you too. Have a wonderful week, Wendy!

  5. I love working ahead on blog posts. It makes taking time off (whether it’s for fun stuff like a vacation or unexpected stuff like getting sick) so much more refreshing. Good for you for working ahead.

And I didn’t know there was a Netflix adaptation of Anxious People. How cool. I really should read that book sometime. 🙂

  6. I watched the trailer for Anxious People and I think I would like it. Humor mixed with drama? Unfortunately, I don’t have Netflix. There are so many streaming options these days!
It looks like you are enjoying some fun, lighter reads.

  7. I need to read The Friendship Pact soon. I didn’t know they made Anxious People into a movie. I enjoyed the audio, but I wish they had Swedish accents since the book was set there. Was kind of odd. I need to buy a TV first! We let people who bought our previous house have it with the sale so we wouldn’t have to drag it up north.

  8. I’m glad you liked Anxious People. I loved the book. It’s my favorite book this year so far. I haven’t checked out the Netflix show yet. I need to. 🙂

  9. Wow! You had a great reading week! I loved each of those covers! I didn’t know there was a Netflix movie of Anxious People! I’ll be checking it out! Thank you for sharing! After reading your review, I added Boardwalk Bookshop to my TBR. Happy reading!

  10. I love it when a show does a really good job with adapting a book. And I’m the same way about getting ahead- I used to be ahead with my posts but not so much lately haha!

  11. I am also trying to schedule a few blogs ahead, but only made it to Tuesday, LOL! Need to start working on the ones I know I can do for the next few weeks! Have a great week.

  12. Janette

Sadly I didn’t get approved for the Jenny Colgan on NetGalley so will have to wait and get it from the library. Have a good week

  13. I have the Friendship Pact coming up, waiting for the audio. She’s an auto read author for me. I really wanted to take the Higgins book but am feeling quite scheduled already. I will probably get it at the library. I hope you get the quite week.

    • Out of the Clear Blue Sky was just one of my favorite books of the year. I hope you’re able to get to it soon

  14. I’m glad you loved The Hotel Nantucket as I’m starting that tomorrow! Also I didn’t know Anxious People was available on Netflix yet – I’ll check to see if it’s available here in Canada. Have a great week!

    • Thank you, Jodie. Anxious People was good. it’s all dubbed so they look funny when they talk, but I thought it followed the book fairly well

  15. Oooh I keep on forgetting about the Netflix adaptation for Anxious People! Thanks for the reminder, maybe I should do that this afternoon!

Gilt seems interesting, will take a look!

Have a good week Wendy and happy reading!
