What I’m up to:

I had a great week of camping! We had perfect weather, low to mid-70s during the day and cool, comfortable weather at night. We did some hiking and a lot of relaxing!

This was our campsite, we were fortunate that there weren’t any fire restrictions and we could have a campfire.
We hiked a very small portion of the Arizona Trail. The trail is 800 miles that stretches from Mexico to Utah. Only 799 miles left to explore!
This female Elk and her youngster scared me when they walked through our campsite. But, she was more concerned about eating the vegetation than bothering us.

Last week I read:

I only read two books again this week, although I made some good progress on the audiobook, Ordinary People by Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine.

  8. That’s perfect weather for camping! 🙂 And neat about the elk! Not the scaring part but the fact that you were able to see one so close!

  9. Sounds like you had a great week!

On Thursday evening I went to a book talk by Lucy Easthope and it was thoroughly interesting. I’m really looking forward to diving into the book.

  10. It looks like you had a great time camping, Wendy. I can understand why you only read two books. I hope you enjoy the ones you are reading this week.

  11. I love your camping photos. I haven’t been camping in over 20+ years. It’s not something I really enjoy, but I’m glad other people do. It’s mostly because of the idea of sharing my bed with spiders, lol.

I hope you have a great week!
