What I’m Up To:

The crazy monsoon weather is gone, so days are sunny and warm with cool nights. Now that everything is dry, we’ve been hiking more and enjoying the cooler temperatures. We did a hike on our last day at Brian Head on Sunday at 11,000ft elevation. This week we’ve done some local hikes around Flagstaff, AZ.

Last week I read:

A slow week of reading this week. They were all good, but Wish You Were Here by Jodi Picoult was AMAZING. It comes out November 30, 2021.

Audiobooks:

I listened to one Audiobook that I had for a while on my audible library. I’ve read the book before, but never listened to the audio and it was so good.

  1. The hikes must be absolutely breathtaking! And those Christmas covers. 😍😍😍. I’m snatching up as many Christmas stories as are sent my way. I’ve got 3 or 4 now and I’m happy to read each one. Have a great week!

    • Thank you Tessa! Hiking is something my husband and I always have enjoyed. And there are so many Christmas books out there to read!

  2. Oh, hiking at 11,000 ft is tough! The scenery looks beautiful!

I just wrote down all my review books for October and I have a ton of Christmas books due the week of October 26th! Most of my October books are for that week. I don’t know how I did this to myself, lol! I better get reading, though!

  3. I love all the Christina Lauren books and usually read them on audio. It’s too early for me to start Christmas books. I usually wait until after Thanksgiving but Kimberly has her HOHOHOReadathon so I do tend to read some in November now.

I love your photos. We were in Flagstaff one year for spring break. We started in Tucson where it was 96, then the Grand Canyon which was more normal, and then in Flagstaff it snowed! A full range of weather for the week.

  4. I have a list of Christmas books (that keeps growing!) that I’m hoping to start reading in November…and on into December. Mostly romances. Next month it’s all ghost stories and a little bit of mystery and horror. Happy reading all your new books!

  5. Such beautiful views! I am glad you have been able to hike more. I visited the Flagstaff area years ago and loved it. Yay for good books! My mom was reading a Jodi Picoult book for her book club when she visited. It’s been ages since I last read one of her books. I am glad you liked her upcoming one so much. I hope you enjoy your upcoming reads! Flying Angels caught my attention with the cover. I will have to look for that one. I hope you have a wonderful week, Wendy! Happy reading!
