Music sensation Aurora Storm finally has her career back on track, but then she’s caught up in a media storm. Desperate to distract from the story, she enlists the one man she trusts to pretend to be her boyfriend.
Meanwhile, in the small seaside village of Mermaids Point, Nick Morgan never expected to see Aurora again. When she calls out of the blue needing his help, he agrees at once. It feels like she’s back in his life for a reason, and he’s determined to make the most of it.
Aurora joins Nick and the rest of his family for their festive celebrations and, as the snow falls, Aurora finds herself caught up in the romance of Christmas. But having tasted worldwide fame, can she ever be content with village life?
Two weeks is all Nick has to prove to Aurora that there’s a happy ending for them both in Mermaids Point.

Happy Endings at Mermaids Point by Sarah Bennett is the fourth book in her popular Mermaids Point series.  It’s also the last book in the series and wraps it up very nicely.  Fans of the series are sure to be pleased with this final book.

Aurora Storm has finally got her pop singing career back on track until a social media blow-up makes her need to change the narrative.  She goes to the only person she trusts to help her out of the mess, Nick Morgan from Mermaids Point.  Nick and Aurora had a relationship prior, but her music career took off and she had to leave.  Nick is both surprised and pleased to see Aurora again, but he’s also wary, as she broke his heart once before.

It is so sad to see this delightful series end, but, I love how the author wrapped everything up.  Aurora and Nick’s relationship started in book 1, so it’s fitting that the last book is all about the continuation of their relationship.  Nick is just adorable, but it’s a little harder to like Aurora, as she’s a pop star and a bit self-centered.  But, when she’s around Nick, her true self comes out and she’s very likable and perfect for Nick.

Really, the best part of this book and the series is the townspeople of Mermaid Point and it’s always so nice to see them grow and change throughout the series.  This last installment included all the Christmas holiday cheer and to see the characters all get-together and celebrate the holidays together makes for a wonderful holiday book.  And I want to thank the author for the character list at the beginning of the book, as it always helps to remind me who is who.

I highly recommend Happy Endings at Mermaid’s Point to anyone who enjoys women’s fiction.  I received a complimentary copy of this book.  The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

  1. I like the sound of this series and how it follows the townspeople in general as well as the story in focus. The Christmassyness would make it even more special. Lovely review Wendy. Luckily one can always revisit a favourite series so it needn’t really ever end.

Another lovely sounding Christmas read, and sad to hear it has ended the series, I will have to look these up. Great review 😊

  3. It is nice when there’s a whole cast of likable characters you get to catch up on with each new installment! I can understand why you’d be sad the series is ending.

  4. I have just started reading this, Wendy. I have enjoyed this series and look forward to reading Nick’s and Aurora’s story. Nice review.

  5. What a great review, Wendy. This author seems to know when to end a series, rather than extend it past its enjoyable life. I think I would like it, especially the citizens of Mermaid’s Point and the Christmasy aspects of the last book.

  6. This sounds like such a wonderful series and one that I’d like to read. I love how the author has all the characters in the final instalment celebrating! Great review Wendy.
