From Harlequin Presents: Escape to exotic locations where passion knows no bounds.
Cinderella Hired for His Revenge is a terrific second-chance romance that I enjoyed very much. This reversal of fortune story features Cass, who once lived a life of privilege and wealth until her father was imprisoned for fraud and her family became the villains of New York society. Now a florist, she lives a much simpler life.
Grant Santos was the gardener for Cass’s family when he fell in love with her. He dreamed of a future with her. Then suddenly she dumped him with no warning. He worked hard to forget her and built an empire that made him rich beyond his dreams. So, when Cass shows up at his business with a proposal to furnish flowers and arrangements for his various business meetings, he’s determined that it’s time for revenge.
Although this is a revenge story, the revenge is not mean-spirited, nor does it last long. Grant’s and Cass’s feelings for each other are soon resurrected and their chemistry is strong. Although, trust takes a bit longer to return. Eventually, Cass and Grant rekindle their feelings, but can they learn to trust each other again? I received a complimentary copy of this book. A missing teen, a killer on the prowl…
This K-9’s on the case.
In the Alaskan wilderness, there’s only one way to track a serial killer: a K-9. For police captain Bre Dayton, that means working with her ex, search and rescue worker Griffin Knight. With her niece missing and possibly kidnapped, Bre has to find the murderer known as the Echo Pass Hunter—fast. Even if it means trusting the man who broke her heart…and putting herself in the killer’s crosshairs.

Alaskan Mountain Search is a fast-paced, exciting story. A teenager is missing and a serial killer is on the loose. The teenager is police captain Bre Dayton’s niece and she is convinced that the only way to find her is to enlist the help of her ex, search and rescue worker Griffin Knight, and his K-9 companion, Ember, an Alaskan Husky.
This suspenseful story just flew by and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the book. The romance between Bre and Griffin was a slow burn and a sweet romance, and I enjoyed the way they learned to trust each other again, and become friends and then more. The star of this story, in my opinion, is Ember, the intelligent husky rescue dog! I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I love books involving search and rescue dogs and so the second one really appeals to me but both of these look like good reads!
I love the sound of this K-9 story. I haven’t read this one, but read many other Harlequin K-9 stories. I’m glad you enjoyed the romance story, although it sounds like it might be a bit steamy. I also like the sound of a reverse rags to riches story.
Both look good Wendy. I am a suckered for K9 romantic suspense and the reversal second chance romance has me curious. Lovely reviews.
I love the cover of Alaskan Mountain Search. Dogs and Alaska….sounds good to me.
