When your heart's broken, all roads lead home...
After the end of a long-term relationship, local weather girl Bea Armstrong has been avoiding her family, and their inevitable ‘I-told-you-sos.’ But with Christmas fast approaching, she is finally on her way home to Charis House, the school in Sherwood Forest that her mum and dad run in their old family home. And to top it all off, the insufferable Henry Fairfax – who her parents have always wanted her to marry – has also been invited.
Relief comes in the shape of a last minute interview for her dream job. There are just a few minor problems… The interview is in Scotland, Bea has no car, and the snow is falling already. The only solution is for Henry to drive her – could this Christmas get any worse…
But during an unforgettable two day interview, a stay in a log cabin and a nightmare journey through the snow, Henry turns out to be nothing like she thought. And when Bea’s first love and recent ex shows up, Bea has a difficult choice to make…

Let it Snow by Beth Moran is just the right mixture of love, romance, and emotion.  This holiday romance is perfect to cozy up to on a cold winter evening.

Bea Armstrong is a local weather presenter for her local East Midlands News, she prides herself on her personal touch to presenting the weather and her involvement in the community.  But her recent breakup from Adam after an eleven-year relationship, her performance on the job has been less than stellar.  Missing meetings and deadlines can be attributed to her lack of focus after the break-up, or is it something else?

She decides to go home to visit her parents for the holiday at Charis House, a home for struggling students, that her parents run and have dedicated their lives to.  Once at Charis House for the holidays, Bea is dismayed to learn that the insufferable Henry Fairfax will also be at her parent’s house for the holidays.  However, when she gets a call for a dream job interview, it’s Henry who decided to brave the snow-covered, icy roads and help her get to her interview in Scotland.  Bea starts to realize that Henry is more than the annoying childhood friend she grew up with.

I loved this enemies-to-lovers story very much.  The characters were wonderful and I enjoyed them all.  Bea is just as cute as can be and I love the way she takes care of her weather listeners and her community.  Henry is a lot deeper than we first realize and he’s a nice balance to Bea’s outgoing nature.   I just loved Bea’s family.  They are not perfect, but I liked their dedication to the school and the students who need a second chance.

I really enjoyed the crazy 2-day job interview for Bea and loved how they included Henry in the interview.  And I loved that weather was such an important part in the plot as Bea is a weather presenter!

I highly recommend Let It Snow by Beth Moran to anyone who enjoys romance and women’s fiction.  I received a complimentary copy of this book.  The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

  1. I love the sound of this one! Thinking a guy was annoying but finding out he’s so much more under the surface is my kind of romance! Plus, the job in Scotland! I’m wondering how it all works out. Off to the library to see if I can get an audio.

  2. This does sound like a very fun Christmas read! And it’s got that Scotland setting. And snow. So many things to like about it already. 🙂
