My Review:

Eight Perfect Hours by Lia Louis is an amazing romantic book about how just a few hours can make an impression. You can see by the rating that I just adored this book, it’s beautifully written with realistic and engaging characters.

Noelle Butterby went to her class reunion and on her way home, she became stranded on the Motorway because of a snowstorm. With her cell phone out of power, she tries to phone her mother to let her know she’s going to be late, but can’t get through. Noelle has been the primary caretaker for her mother for the past several years and has put her own life on hold.

While waiting on the Motorway, she noticed the guy in the next car who motions for her to come over and sit with him. After chatting for a bit through the window, she decides it’s safe enough to sit in the car with him, after all, they are stuck with no way to go anywhere. She needs to charge her phone so she can call her mother who will be worrying about Noelle being stuck in the storm. For eight delightful hours, Noelle chats with the stranger, an American named Sam, and their time seems to fly by.

Eight perfect hours is a book about fate and coincidences. In a windy tale, we follow Noelle as a series of events changes her fate. This heartwarming story will have you believing in soulmates and true love. For some, the series of coincidences that throw Noelle and Sam together may seem contrived, but the story is so well written, that I believed it is fate that throws them together. This adorable story will tug at your heartstrings and make you believe in romance again.

I listened to Eight Perfect Hours on audiobook and enjoyed the narration immensely. Emma Powell did an excellent job of narration. I highly recommend this book to lovers of romance and soulmates.

  1. I’m glad you loved this book as much as I did too Wendy! I adored Dear Emmie Blue by this author as well and she’s now become an auto-buy author for me. Thanks for sharing another wonderful review.
