What I’ve been up to:
My husband and I went to Phoenix earlier in the week for a doctor’s appointment. It’s only a 2.5-hour drive, but we usually spend the night and visit with my sister-in-law. We also go shopping and eat out. It was a fun couple of days. It was in the 80s down in Phoenix, and the 60s up here in Flagstaff.
Last week I read:
It was a good week for audiobooks, I listened to three audiobooks. My favorite book of the week was It Starts With Us. Next was Ricochet, which is part of the Addicted series by Krista Ritchie and Becca Ritchie, I enjoyed continuing the series. All the other books were very good too.
Next week I hope to get to:

Have you read any of these books? What are you hoping to read this next week? What have you been up to last week? Comment below!
That’s quite a long way for an appointment. It is nice that you can make a little trip out of it though.
A good looking haul. I hope you enjoy them when you get to them.
Have a great week!
That’s quite a temperature difference! All of your upcoming books look good but the Viola Shipman is especially calling my name. I hope you’re having a great week!
It sounds like a nice change of pace and 80s isn’t too bad even if 60s is nice.
That’s a pretty good week of reading! Glad you enjoyed CoHo’s latest. It’s on my TBR 🙂.
I hope you enjoy it when you get to it!
Isn’t it funny how temps can be so different? Hope you’re having a good week so far!
I’m so glad you enjoyed It Starts With Us. I plan to start it soon but I’m savoring it and enjoying the anticipation for now. 🙂
“…only a 2.5 hour drive…” I’m laughing because an hour is just about my limit! 😀
I have Heart of the Sun Warrior to read too. I’m hoping to be able to read it before publication date but my books seem to be piling up at the moment 😃
We have currently lost all our lovely Autumn sunshine and seem to be getting all of the rain that we didn’t get over the Summer.
What a difference in temps. I love it when the weather turns a little cooler, and fall is my favorite time of year. Awesome week of reading, Wendy – hope you have another one!
Great reading week, hope you have a great week 😊
Wow you had a great week of reading! We lived in Vegas for a few years and visited Phoenix multiple times – it was a 3-4 hour drive I think. Good change of pace. Have a great week.
Thanks for the visit.

I lived in Vegas for a couple of years too! My inlaws lived in Phoenix at the time, so I know that drive well.
That’s a huge difference in temps for areas that really aren’t that far apart. Glad you had a great time! Turning doctor’s appointments into mini vacations is never a bad idea. Hope you have a great week!
Thank you, Tessa! I hope you have a great week too.
I’m glad to hear Shipwrecked was good. I can’t wait for you to continue the Addicted series!
I am loving the Addicted Series so far and I’m looking forward to continuing!
Penvennan Cove is on my list, glad you enjoyed it, Wendy
I hope you enjoy it too!
I feel like fall and winter are the only times you can comfortably visit Phoenix. Otherwise, it’s SOOOO hot. I’m glad you had a good time!
I agree, Jenni! I hate going down there in summer and rarely go.
Fraterfest ends tonight, so then I will start doing some planning for Christmas reads. Guess where I’ll stop first for some inspiration… LOL!!
Glad to hear you had a fun trip, I hope the new week will be filled with fun and good books as well.
Lots of Love!

Oh, I hope you enjoy your Christmas books!
Wow, you finished a lot of audiobooks this week.
I’ve been on the same one for 10 days and am struggling to finish it before it’s due back at the library. LOL.
Some audiobooks take me weeks to finish and others I can finish quickly. It all depends on what’s going on in my life, and how good the audiobook is.
A great week Wendy! It’s so nice to get away even if it is just a few days. I just finished Home Sweet Christmas and have several of the books mentioned here on my TBR to read over the next few weeks. Have a wonderful week ahead!
I hope you have a wonderful week as well, Jodie!
Sounds like our weather in FL! It was in the 80s at the beginning of the week and then on Wednesday, a cool front came through and we went down in the 60s. It’s been warmer yesterday and today. I love the cover on Heart of the Sun Warrior! Happy reading!
I just finished the Sun Warrior and it was wonderful. I enjoyed it even more than the first book.
I read It Ends With Us as soon as it came out, but don’t know if I’ll get to It Starts With Us for a bit. I’ll probably buy the audiobook. Do you take your camper when you go Phoenix or stay in a hotel? Have a great week!
We stay in a hotel in Phoenix as it’s only one night. I prefer the camper as my bed is so comfortable, but it’s a hassle to hook up and park for only one night.
Great reading list. Hope you have a great week.
Thank you! I hope you have a great week too!
Honestly my reading has been all over the place recently! I am hoping to read a fun middle grade a young friend lent me and wanted me to read, and I guess I’ll just pick up whatever I’m in the mood for! Good to hear you’ve been reading some good books! I am not a huge fan of audiobooks – I get distracted too easily, but my sister listens to them on repeat, and at night I can hear it coming from her room and sometimes listen in too so I guess I get snippets of stories that way! I should probably give them another chance!
Happy reading for this next week, and I truly can’t thank you enough for all the support you’ve shown my blog. It means so much and I’m sorry that I don’t get round to commenting on here as much as I should – balancing school and blogging is a challenge!

I like audiobooks when I drive, or do mundane tasks like housework or mowing the lawn. It’s hard for me to just sit and listen to an audiobook.
Looks like a great week of reading 🙂 Do you ever read any books you don’t like (truly curious!), if so, do you talk about them here? Have a great day!
I have a pretty high tolerance for books. I almost always find something to like in a book. And when I don’t like a book at all, I won’t review it here, I’ll just make a note on NetGalley if it’s an ARC, or just won’t review it at all if it’s not an ARC. I know that bad reviews can be helpful to other readers, and I appreciate others who write them, but I just can’t.
You had an awesome week of reading Wendy! Have a wonderful week ahead!📚🤗☕💜
Thank you, Susan. You too!
The Phoenix trip sounds nice. You had a great reading week! Enjoy your books this week, the Christmasy ones look good.
Thank you!
One of these days we will get from the midwest to Phoenix and Flagstall. Gorgeous views of the desert.
I love this part of the country. But, I also enjoyed living in the midwest.
