Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want. Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
Today’s Top 10: Books with Urban Skylines On the Cover
I usually like covers with animals on them or food. But, I thought I’d be a bit more creative, so I found covers with an urban skyline on them. And these are all books I’ve read in the past 2 years and have reviewed on my blog. (Click on the cover to see my review)
- Made in Manhattan by Lauren Layne
2. Part of Your World by Abbey Jimenez
3. Love at First by Kate Clayborn
4. Summer in the City by Lori Wilde, Priscilla Oliveras and Sarah Skilton
5. Not the Witch You Wed by April Asher
6. In a New York Minute by Kate Spencer
7. High Stakes by Danielle Steel
8. By Any Other Name by Lauren Kate
9. Talk Bookish to Me by Kate Bromley
10. The Last Daughter of York by Nicola Cornick
Have you read any of these books? Do you enjoy books set in urban locations? Comment below!
Love this topic! I love the covers you chose and skylines are something I always love seeing on a cover but I wouldn’t have thought about.
I love the theme you went with for this! I really like cityscape scenes and so each of these caught my eye. Thank you for sharing!
Not The Witch You Wed is next on my TBR.
I feel the same! I was going to do food or animals, but I wanted to something different. Ha! Great choice! I love urban skylines.
I enjoyed Made in Manhatten.
Not sure I could find 10 Urban Skyline covers that I’ve read. That would be a fun challenge!
I just realized how few city setting stories I read b/c I’m not sure I could pull together ten. 🙂 I haven’t read any of these, but I do have two on my wish list.
Such a great take on this week’s theme!
I’ve not read any of these books, but I do enjoy urban settings, particularly urban fantasy!

Lovely set of choices Wendy🙂 I especially love the urban-rural juxtaposition on the cover of Part of Your World. And there’s a🐐 it’s got to be my favourite 🙂🙂
Great choice! I have a list of TTT Cover ideas and skylines areI one of them. There’s something so eye-catching about them. I’ve read and enjoyed Love at First and Summer in the City, and several of the others are on my tbr. I especially like the subtle skylines like on Talk Bookish to Me!
HI Wendy! Oh these are gorgeous and so creative! Part of your world draws my attention. The words are from The Little Mermaid… I am so a teacher for knowing that!!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Nice take on the topic this week! Only one I saw with this. I have not read any of these books but I’m interested in Part of Your World and that author’s books. Good choices all around!
I enjoy books in City, specially NY, Paris, and London setting.
Cool covers! I don’t usually read books set in cities, so I don’t think I own any books with skylines on them. They’re pretty.
Thank you, Aj. I prefer small town books but occasionally enjoy an urban setting.
I never noticed how many skyline covers there are until I read your post. That was fun!
Thank you, Linda. I was surprised too when I was looking it up.
Nice covers. I like Made in Manhattan the best.
I do too. That cover inspired my list this week.
What a fun take on this week’s prompt, Wendy! 🙂 I’ve only read one of these – Love at First.
Love at First was so good. I hope you have a great week!
What a fun pick for this week’s TTT. And I’ve read and loved so many of these books. Your list makes me smile. 😀
Thank you, Lark! It’s a fun topic this week!
These are fun covers. I’ve never realized how many books have skylines on them. It makes sense, though, and I love them. 😀 Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Thank you, Jenni! Some of those skylines are very subtle.
What a great choice, Lucy. I have read 3 of these. I love these covers and it’s funny that I didn’t notice the skyline before on a couple of these.
Oops, Wendy.
Yes, they are very subtle on a couple of these covers. Especially Talk Bookish to Me.
I love the theme that you’ve chosen! These books all have gorgeous covers and I’d love to add a few to my list. Thanks for the recommendations!
What a great list, they all look wonderful 💕
All of these are cute, but I love that Summer in the City. The fireworks over it are cool.
You chose such a great topic! All of these covers are really beautiful. I love urban skylines!
Thank you, Stephanie!
I love this theme. Urban skylines are so pretty.

Thank you, Lydia. I just loved this week’s topic.
Fun topic! I’m not a city person (although I live in one of the largest suburbs in the country), but these covers do appeal to me on some level. I think a city skyline hints that something interesting and exciting is going to happen in a book and who doesn’t want that in a story??
Happy TTT!

Thank you, Susan. I’m not a city person either, but I love a story set in a city once in a while.
That’s a good theme.
Thank you, Rosie.
Such a fun topic with great choices.
Thank you, Rae. I enjoyed this week’s topic!
Such a creative topic, Wendy!! I love it! I have not read and of these books.
Thank you, Cindy! I like an urban setting every once in a while. But, my favorite is small town stories.
I love these covers. I still have the Nicola Cornick on my TBR.
It was so good! I liked it more than I thought I would.
