What I’m up to:
Between the Storms!
We had a snowstorm last weekend, and this weekend we’re having another. But, the good news is we had some terrific weather in between. I was able to get out and do some hiking and get some much needed exercise.
Website Improvements
I’ve been blogging for almost a year now, so I thought it would be fun to make some improvements to the site. You may have already noticed that I added some flame 
ratings for the book reviews. I get some questions on if a book is spicy or not, so this should help. I’ve also added a challenge bar on the side, mostly for me to keep track of my challenges. I’ll be changing the theme and colors soon too.

Last week I read:
I didn’t read much last week, mostly because I’ve been out walking and doing blogging stuff.
I’m still trying to wrap my head around Reputation, it was a LOT different than I expected. It was good, but also very different. Fool Me Once was very good.
I had to DNF a book, something I rarely do. This was a reprint from a book she wrote 20 years ago, and the world was a bit different back then. I got to a scene that depicted what I consider assault, between the main characters, so I can’t recommend this book. I know that she meant it to be a funny scene, but it really didn’t work for me.
Audiobooks I listened to:
I loved both these audiobooks very much! Small Great Things was gripping and intense, and The Unhoneymooners was just a delight.

I love the new design. It’s super fun! And the flame rating is a great idea. I’m not much for romance books, but when I do read them I prefer them without explicit scenes. I at least want to know what I’m getting myself into before I pick up a book, you know?

We had some gorgeous weather over the past few days, and then the temps plummeted 30 degrees in just a few hours this morning. Glad you were able to get in some exercise between the snowstorms, Wendy!

Reputation was also different to what I expected when I read it! It’s an interesting book, for sure.
Curious to see what you think of At Least You Have your Health. That one keeps popping up and I can’t decide if I want to read it or not lol.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought Reputation was very odd! But, I did enjoy it.
It’s crazy to read about snow when it’s in the 80’s here. 🙂 Nice that you were able to enjoy the better weather and get out a bit. Too bad about the DNF. It’s crazy how so much of what would never be acceptable in fiction/romance now was commonplace years ago. I ran into something similar with a Linda Howard book last year. I did finish it, but wow… I was continually surprised at some of the content.
Yes, and I believe it’s part of the reason romance has such a bad name. But, I’m thrilled it’s getting so much better now.

Reputation is a YA book, and I don’t read many of those. It was good, I’ll probably rate it 4 stars, it’s just a bit unusual.
