Was she too much…or his perfect match?
Over-the-top Molly Cyrs hardly seems a match for bookish Callan Avery. But when Molly suggests they pose as a couple to assuage Stonefield’s anxiety about its new male librarian, his pretend paramour is all Callan can think about. Callan’s looking for a family, though, and kids aren’t in Molly’s story. Unless he can convince Molly that she’s not “too much”…and that to him, she’s just enough!

Sutton's Place
Book 1: Her Hometown Man
Book 2: An Unexpected Cowboy
Book 3: Expecting Her Ex's Baby
Book 4: Falling for His Fake Girlfriend
Book 5: Her Younger Man
Falling for His Fake Girlfriend by Shannon Stacey is the fourth book in her popular Sutton Place series but can easily be read as a stand-alone.
My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this fake dating, opposites attract book very much. Molly was just wonderful. She has ADHD and isn’t well understood by her parents or any of her past boyfriends. She can be a bit over the top and she knows it. She feels like she can’t have a real relationship because she was always too much for her past boyfriends.
I fell for Callen when he researched Molly’s ADHD in order to understand her better and help her navigate her world. It just showed how much he cared about Molly as a person and a friend. He’s quiet and bookish and Molly is the opposite, but he grows to understand Molly and he appreciates her more than anyone.
Recommendation:
I highly recommend Falling for His Fake Girlfriend to anyone who enjoys romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A temporary pit stop…or a forever homecoming?
Aspiring pastry chef Nicole Evans is just waiting to hear about her dream job, and in the meantime, she goes to work in the café at the local bookstore. But that’s before the recently widowed Nicole meets her temporary boss: her first crush, Liam Mendez! Single dad Liam has always kept his life—and his heart—closely guarded from Oak Hollow gossip. Will his simmering attraction to Nicole be just one more thing to hide…or the stuff of his bookstore’s romance novels?

Home to Oak Hollow
Book 1: A Sheriff's Star
Book 2: In the Key of Family
Book 3: A Child's Christmas Wish
Book 4: A Marriage of Benefits
Book 5: Lessons in Fatherhood
Book 6: The Bookstore's Secret
The Bookstore’s Secret by Makenna Lee is the sixth book in the Home to Oak Hollow series. This small-town romance is everything I want.
Nicole Evans and her nine-year-old daughter have moved back to Oak Hollow until Nicole can secure a pastry chef position at a resort. She secures a position at the cafe in the local bookstore until she hears from the resorts she’s applied to. The bookstore is owned by Nicole’s first crush, Liam Mendez. Liam is also a single parent to a teenage son, Travis. Working together causes all kinds of sparks, but, neither Nicole nor Travis can start a relationship as they know that Nicole is only in town temporarily.
I enjoyed this fun, fast-paced romance. There is a lot more to Liam than someone who runs a bookstore, and his secrets may destroy a relationship, but he’s so perfect for Nicole as he appreciates her talent for pasty and cooking. Something her ex-husband did not.
Liam’s son Travis, and Nicole’s daughter Katie both stole the show, they are both so adorable in their own ways. Nicole was set in her ways, but there is nothing like a charming small town and a swoon-worthy bookstore owner to possibly change her mind.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Have you read Falling for His Fake Girlfriend or The Bookstore’s Secret?
I don’t read a lot of this type of Harlequin, but both of these sound good, especially one about a bookstore! Great reviews!
Both of these sound like fun reads! I enjoy the fake dating trope quite a bit, almost as much as second chance romances. Thank you for these great reviews!
Both of these look so good – especially The Bookstore’s Secret! How can I resist a book involving a pastry chef AND a bookstore owner.
I haven’t read either of these series, but it seems I’d enjoy them. I’m especially interested in The Bookstore’s Secret, and may have to give it a try as a standalone read.
Great reviews, Wendy!

It’s one of my favorite tropes too!
I like the sound of both of these books, Wendy, but especially the Makenna Lee one. I have read a couple in that series and need to catch up. I really liked the ones I read.
They both seem like excellent reads. I appreciate how much effort Callen makes to fully comprehend Molly’s condition.
Thank you!
They both sound great reads. I love that Callen takes the trouble to really understand Molly and her condition.
