These are great! I especially love hearing you thought The Mad Girls of New York was plucky. I am looking forward to reading that one–hopefully soon.
Such great choices! Everyone seems to love By the Book. I’ll have to pick that one up!
Bookdelicious needs to be s real word! 😃
I haven’t read any of these but “the mad girls of new york’ sounds like fun. Your one word – plucky – make it seems like a book I might be interested in.
Have a lovely day.
I think angsty could describe most of the books I read. LOL I’m a sucker for emotional and angsty. 🙂
This is such a cool idea! I might have to try this with some of my reads.
That is a great exercise in mental prowess. Much harder to describe a book in one word in many cases than with a whole review. Great job and I don’t think you used any word twice. Kudos!
Nice! You have some great words here. My favorites are “plucky,” “angsty,” and, of course, “bookdelicious.” Good call on making your own words 🙂
Happy TTT!

Thank you, Susan.
Great adjectives! I really like fleeting, plucky, and Bookdelicious!
You gathered a good mix of words to describe romance stories – unusual to see ‘crisp’ and ‘ fleeting’ – haven’t seen those on any other lists! My list: https://www.bookshelfjourneys.com/post/ttt-one-word-reviews
Thank you, Terrie!
I like books about plucky characters!

Bookdelicious is a fantastic word – and hey, it’s usage that makes a word ‘real’
I love Bookdelicious, too! Great word. 😀
Lol. I love “bookdelicious.” I think I would’ve hyphenated it, though. Then again, I didn’t coin it.
I was thinking #10. Below Zero would be: Cold.
This was a fun post to read – especially “bookdelicious”! Love that!
That was fun!
I love this lost & your one word reviews 😊
Hah! Bookdelicious! I love it.
I am loving your adjectives! Plucky and crisp are my favorite because they’re so unique. I also love that you made up your own word for one. Creative!
Thank you, Deanna. This was a fun prompt this week
It’s perfectly acceptable to invent words, especially when describing books. Super fun post Wendy!
Thank you, Rae. This was a fun post this week!
You know, I’ve been seeing I Kissed Shara Wheeler everywhere, and I kept thinking that it just didn’t interest me. Your one word review of Angsty makes me feel like I was spot on about if I would enjoy it or not. And I totally agree about The Homewreckers. It’s so delightful ❤️
I enjoyed I Kisses Shara Wheeler very much.
Such a fun list, Wendy. Our review, our words. 😂📚
It was fun this week. I really enjoyed seeing what everyone else was using for their one words.
I’m loving the one word reviews that everyone is posting today. I think that Bookdelicious has to be my favourite though.
Thank you, Janette. It’s been fun seeing all the words that folks are using today.
