Today’s Top 10: Favorite Books of 2022
- Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. This and Demon Copperhead are my 2 favorite books of the year!
2. Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover.
3. Every Summer After by Carley Fortune.
4. Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez.
5. Out of the Clear Blue Sky by Kristan Higgins.
6. Something Wilder by Christina Lauren
7. Thank You for Listening by Julia Whelan.
8. Mad Honey by Jodie Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan
9. The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn
10. Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. This is a very long book, but it never dragged or felt slow, and I loved listening to every minute. It’s tied with Lessons in Chemistry as my favorite book of the year!
What was your favorite book of 2022? Did you read any of these books?
Oooh, I’ve never heard of Demon Copperhead, but Barbara Kingsolver is a great author. That one’s definitely going on my list! Hope 2023 brings you as many good reads as 2022 did. 😀
It’s such a great book IMO. I hope you enjoy it too!
Yay for Every Summer After!!
I keep seeing Lessons in Chemistry. I’ll have to give it a try! 📚
I really want to read Part of Your World. One of my favorite reads in 2022 is The Reade Trilogy by Traci Chee.
I’ve seen Lessons in Chemistry on a lot of lists! I’m still working on my favorite books of 2022….
Great list, Wendy. I hope to read Lessons in Chemistry sometime soon🙂
This is a nice selection of books. Here’s to happy reading in 2023! 🙂
I JUST read a review of DEMON COPPERHEAD in Bookmarks Magazine. I hadn’t heard of it before, but it definitely sounds like the kind of book I love. I can handle long books as long as they don’t drag too much, so I’m glad this one doesn’t do that.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I hope you enjoy it too! I am still thinking about it.
Hope you have a great 2023 reading year!
Even though we have some differences in book preferences, we also have some similarities! You’ve got a few familiar titles in there that I’ve read and enjoyed. I’m currently reading Demon Copperhead. Have a great week.
Fantastic list Wendy. I’ve read a few, have some in my tbr pile and a few on my wishlist!
I see some of my favorites here Something Wilder and Thank You for Listening. I still want to read Lessons in Chemistry and Out of the Clear Blue Sky. We’d love to have you share your favorites in out Top 10 list

Great list Wendy! I’m so glad to see that you enjoyed so many books last year. I still have Mad Honey on my list and I can’t wait to start reading it. Thanks for sharing!
Adding The Diamond Eye to my reading list since I liked the Rose Code so much by the same author.
I loved Reminders of Him. Such a great story of redemption and second chances.
I really want to get to The Diamond Eye this year. This is a great list, Wendy. I haven’t yet read any of these but I hope to read most of them. Thank you for sharing!
I haven’t read any of these but almost all of them are on my TBR. I really want to read the Kate Quinn and Julia Whelan books. Great list!
Something Wilder was a fun read; I enjoyed that one a lot, too. 😀
Great list! Reminders of Him was a favorite of mine. I also really liked Every Summer After.
Woot woot! 😀 Every single one of these (except EVER SUMMER AFTER because I read that) are on my TBR. I’m really excited to read the others.
This is a great list Wendy. I have read/listened to 6 of this and agree that they were wonderful. I have 2 others on my TBR, so hope to get to them soon. I don’t do this post, because I could never narrow it down.
LOL, I understand that, Carla. I could have easily done a top 50.
It is interesting to see which books rose to the top for you in 2022.
I am enjoying reading eveyone’s lists too.
This is such a great list! I still need to read Every Summer After! Lessons in Chemistry is such a great book!! It just missed my list. lol
Thank you, Leslie! There are so many great books!
I LOVE THIS LIST SO MUCH OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! I haven’t read any of these yet BUT I NEED TO GET TO DEMON COPPERHEAD AFTER ALL THE HUGE AMOUNTS OF TIMES YOUVE MENTIONED IT SO EXCUSE ME WHILE I GO DO THAT NOW
Thank you! I hope you enjoy it!
I listened to Every Summer After and liked but didn’t love it. I guessed what her secret was long before she revealed it to us, which may have been part of what deducted points for me.
As for Lessons in Chemistry, I’ve accepted that everyone but me loves it. 😉
We can’t all love every book!
I loved 2,4, and 7. I love seeing them on your list today!
Great list! Lessons in Chemistry and Something Wilder were both definitely great reads for me, as well.
Thank you, Amanda! They were both so good!
I hope to read Mad Honey and The Diamond Eye this year!
I hope you enjoy them both!
Dear Wendy!
Happy New Year!! Lessons in Chemistry made my list as well and just about all the other books on your list ended up on my TBR. Mostly due to your influence over the year!
I hope this year will be another great year of reading and inspiring others for you!

It’s just a bit different and so well written. I hope you enjoy it!
I’m glad you enjoyed so many!
Thank you, Kristi!
How were you able to choose just 10? 😂 I love your choices.
I could have easily done a top 50! Thanks Rae!
I’ve only read Lessons in Chemistry and while I enjoyed it, it wasn’t a 5 star read for me. It’s a good thing we all have different tastes 😃😃
That’s so true, Janette!
I have Diamond Eye and Every Summer After on my TBR; eventually, I will get to read them.
