Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want. Today’s Top 10: Favorite Places to Read
I love to read, and can just about read a book anywhere. So for this challenge, I am posting a list of books where the covers illustrate my favorite places to read.
#1. Probably my favorite place to read is the library. It’s quiet and has an almost infinite number of books.
#2. I do the majority of my reading at home. I love the familiarity and comfort of my own house. My house isn’t quite as ornate as this one. But, I do have 3 cute dogs that I like to read with.
#3. I read a lot in the car. Audiobooks when I’m driving, and e-books when I’m a passenger or sitting in a parking lot.
#4. I don’t get a chance to relax next to a pool very often, but when I do, I really enjoy it. Doesn’t this poolside look so inviting!
#5. Next to a library, a bookshop is one of my favorite places to read. It’s quiet, with an unlimited supply of books, and there is usually a coffee shop in the store too!
#6. I don’t actually have a cottage by the sea, but doesn’t this look like a lovely spot to curl up with a book?
#7. I enjoy reading outside when the weather is nice. And reading on a blanket with a picnic basket and a dog near a lake is about as good as it can get for me!
#8. Reading in a vineyard would be ideal. Outside, in the sunshine with an unlimited supply of wine is pretty perfect in my eyes!
#9. I don’t often read at the beach, but my sisters live in Southern California, so I get a chance to visit the beach occasionally and get to read. I love the sound of the waves when I read.
#10. I don’t have a Paris Apartment, but if I did, this would be a wonderful place to read!

That cottage by the sea does look like a lovely spot to read. Fun way to do this week’s TTT. 😀
Thank you Lark!

I love reading at the beach and at the pool when I can! The covers are gorgeous of the books you shared this week.
Thank you Cindy. The beach and pool are perfect places to read!
A cottage by the sea really would be an idyllic place to relax and read! If only I had one…

Yes! I agree Susan, wouldn’t it be nice to have a cottage by the sea!
What a lovely list!
Thank you Lydia!
All these are amazing. I also do most of my reading at home. I would also love a cottage by sea or in hill with beautiful view.
Thank you Yesha, I also do most of my reading at home.
I love this list, even the places you haven’t had a chance to read at yet, Wendy. I think my favourite spots are outside by the pool, or floating in the pool and in my comfy recliner in my living room.
Thank you Carla. I have a nice recliner in my living room too, such a great place to read.
I mostly read in the house, either on my bed or a lounge chair. I also read a lot in the car by audio books because I have a two hour commute each day (hour back and forth). Love reading by the pool in a lounger or in the pool which is why I have a waterproof kindle! Also in the bath. Love these beautiful cover, Wendy!
Wow, you have a long commute. I used to have a long commute and audiobooks were my savior!
Definitely agree about reading with the sound of the sea in the background. I can’t read in a car though as would be very travel sick which would probably annoy my OH.
Thanks Janette. My husband can’t read in a car, so he drives, I read. I agree about the sea, sometime I wis I lived closer to an ocean.
