What I’m Up To:
I went to the Grand Canyon again for a few days of camping on the South Rim. The canyon was a bit hazy due to the fires in California, but we saw some great wildlife. There is a fairly large herd of Elk at the canyon, and we had a few wander through our campsite. We saw some wild horses, which I’ve never seen at the Canyon. The Ranger told us that they were “left there” by someone, and the park is trying to round them up and take them to nearby ranches. But, they looked happy and healthy with all the grass to munch on because of the recent rains.
I’ve also never seen Javilina’s (looks like a small wild boar) at the canyon. They are prevalent in southern Arizona, but I’ve never seen them this far north. However, this guy in the picture looked quite happy to be rooting around the campground!
Last week I read:

It’s been so long since I visited the Grand Canyon! I’d love to go again!
Where the Crawdads Sing is also on my TBR, but I doubt I’ll get to it anytime soon….
Thank you Yesha! I just looked at the blurb for Tia Lugo Speaks No Evil by Danette Vigilante and it looks so good!
Love you pictures. Looks like you enjoyed your trip. I started reading Tia Lugo Speaks No Evil by Danette Vigilante
I love your pictures of you trip to the Grand Canyon. Where The Crawdads Sing on audio is amazing. I hope you love it. Have a wonderful week, Wendy.
Thank you Carla. I’m about halfway through Where the Crawdads sing and I’m loving it!
The Butler is on my TBR list and I’m so eager to read it! What are your thoughts on the book?
Thank you Patricia. I thought it was a fairly typical Danielle Steel novel. If you like her work, you’ll like this book too But I really enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look at what butlers do and how they become butlers.
What a fantastic trip. We have nothing in the UK to compare with that. Looking forward to your Marcia Willet review as I have read most of her books over the years
Thank you Janette! I really enjoyed the Garden House, and am looking forward to reading more from Marcia Willet
It looks like you had a nice trip! Your pictures are beautiful and I just love seeing wildlife! I can’t believe someone would just dump horses off somewhere! Glad to hear they looked healthy and happy for now though. I hope they go to good homes.
I loved What If You & Me by Roni Loren, but didn’t read the first book in the series. I’ve been a fan of Loren for a long time, though. Looking forward to your thoughts!
Thank you Rachel. I’m so glad you enjoyed What If You & Me. Now I’m looking forward to reading it even more!
Such stunning pictures! Thank you for sharing. <3
Thank you Hannah!

Thank you Tessa! I’m also so grateful we live so close to a National Park.
