What I’ve been up to?

We were supposed to get another snowstorm this week but just got some rain while the mountains got more snow.

Flagstaff Mountains with snow

Later this week we’ll be traveling to Montana to take our son to his new job and help get him settled. He doesn’t NEED our help :). But I want to help and make sure his new home is safe and he is set up as much as possible. It’s a long 2 day drive up there and back, and we’ll be towing his car up there too. I’m just hoping for good weather.

Last week I read:

I had a good reading week but didn’t read as much as I have been. I’ve been watching a lot of TV this week 🙂 They were all good books, my favorite was On Spine of Death.

Next week I hope to get to:

What I Watched:

I’m so glad The Crown season 5 was released. It’s totally the reason I didn’t read as much last week. It was a little strange to see Deloras Umbridge from Harry Potter playing the Queen. But, eventually, I was able to see Imelda Staunton as the Queen instead of Deloras!

  1. The mountain view is beautiful. I hope the weather holds for your trip.
I love all of your colorful covers. On Spine of Death sounds like a good cozy.
Hope you enjoy good reading this week.

  2. The mountains are gorgeous! Good luck in Montana and getting your son settled. I’m so excited to read On Spine of Death. I really enjoyed the first book. Have a great week!

  3. ooooh i shall definitely HAVE to check out spine of death since you loved it so much. ALSO THE COVER. yayy to reading never ever getting back together I’M JUST COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS UNTIL RELEASE DATE. how was it?? HOPE YOU HAVE THE BEST EVER WEEK WITH ALL THE FABULOUS BOOKS <33

  4. I totally understand wanting to get your son settled, Wendy. We did the same with both our sons. I’ve also been watching the crown (with the same feelings about Delores, lol), and only have one more episode left.

  5. That’s a long drive to Montana! Hope you see some beautiful sights along the way and get good weather. It’s a toss up there.

  6. I’m so glad you liked Spine of Death; I’m really looking forward to reading it. I don’t subscribe to Netflix but I watched the trailer anyway, and I can see why you didn’t get much reading done!

  7. I hope you have a nice road trip this week! I’ve heard The Crown is good.
Great picture of Flagstaff Mountains! I watch Sister Wives and they live in Flagstaff.

    • I watch Sister Wives too! Mostly for the pretty pictures of my town, but I’ve watched them from the very beginning. I’ve never seen any of them in town, but they live on the other side of town.

  8. I hope the weather is good for your drive! Yeah, my parents always helped me move when I was younger even when I probably didn’t need the help. But I’m glad they did. It was interesting when the actress who plays Umbrage in HP was in the Downton Abbey movies too. I’m excited for Well Traveled too! Have a good week!

  9. Ha ha. I can’t stop thinking of Dolores Umbridge either when I see any clips. Wishing you a great reading week and a smooth trip to Monatana, Wendy🙂

  10. I am also watching The Crown. Yes, Imela Staunton is such a good actress that I also can’t unsee her as Umbridge. Diana’s story is so sad, and this brought it all rushing back. Whenever I see Charles and Camilla I think of her.

Have a great and safe trip to Montana!

  11. I hope your son gets settled in and that you have a safe journey there and back Wendy! I’m really looking forward to The Key to My Heart and The Wedding Ranch too. Have a wonderful week ahead.
