What I’m up to:
We had a wedding anniversary this week. 33 years! We didn’t do much on the day, but we’re headed to California today to visit my 8-month-old grandniece! As well as my sisters, nieces, and nephew…
My sisters live in a retirement community in Southern California and it’s like an adult playground. Close to the beaches, and lots of great places to eat. I’m looking forward to a few days of sunshine and visiting with my family.
Last week I read:
Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus was a huge surprise. I thought it would be a cute romance, but it was something completely different. It’ll be one of my best books of 2022. It’s unique, quirky, and highly entertaining. The main character isn’t really likable… but I loved her! Parts of the book are totally unbelievable, but I still believed it all! It’s just such a unique and entertaining story. Bonnie Garmus is a debut author too.
The other three books I read last week were very good too!
