What I’m Up To:

I had a nice quiet week. My husband and I have started to do more hiking in the area as the local forests have opened back up. They were closed for about a week or so as we had not had any rain and the fire danger was high. Then while we were away, we’ve had a lot of rain (a lot for Arizona!) It’s been nice to just be at home all week, and not travel.

Last week I read:

Next week, the plan is to read all e-books and ARCs.

  1. I am glad you are enjoying your hikes and time home. We need to get back into the habit of walking in the evenings, although lately it has been too warm still when we can go. I hope you have been enjoying your reading. I really want to read The Ex Hex. Santa Cruise looks fun too. Perfect for Christmas in July. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and week ahead, Wendy!

  2. YAY for getting out and hiking, I really have missed being in the outdoors so much and need to get to it. Nice that you’ve been getting rain too, every time I go to Arizona during the summer I melt haha.

  3. That’s awesome that you’re hiking with your husband! I would love to hike, but I can’t stand this heat. Southern California definitely isn’t as bad as Arizona, but I’m just not a summer person 😁

And your upcoming ebooks and ARCs look so good! I really want to read The Ex Hex and No Words. Hope you enjoy and have a great week!

    • Thanks, Cheryl! I just finished both the Ex Hex and No Words, and they were both great! Hiking is our thing, so we get up early in the morning to beat the heat. It works for us.

  4. Your week sounds very relaxing. I’m envious as I plow through the deep cleaning daughter #2’s room. 😉. I love Meg Cabot and look forward to hearing more about No Words. Have another great week!

  5. It is nice that things are getting back to a normal routine. It is so great to get outside, so I am glad that you have been able to hike and enjoy nature. I have the Helena Hunting book to read, and I hope we both enjoy it.

    • I agree, it’s difficult to hike alone. I have gone alone a few times, but only on hikes I know, and I know there will be others on the trail. I hope you find a hiking friend to go with you.

  6. Yea for some hiking and parks opening up. We love hiking too, but it’s a bit cold now in SA.

I haven’t heard of any of your books, but Whisper Cottage catches my attention.

Have a good week ahead an happy reading!
