What I’m Up To:

We took another trip to Denver to visit our son. This time, we’re helping him move back to Flagstaff as he’s decided he wants to pursue a master’s degree. So, he’s moving back home, and I’m pretty happy to have him back closer to me.

It was a very tiring trip, four days of driving and moving furniture! However, it was a beautiful drive to Denver and the mountains were in full fall colors!

Last week I read:

I had a great week of reading! So many good books. All the books this week were enjoyable, however, my favorites were When You Get the Chance by Emma Lord, and The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.

  1. Good luck to your son with his master’s degree! I am sure it will be nice having him close again. Look at all those great books you read! Some of them are ones I would like to read someday. I hope you are enjoying your weekend and have a great week!

  2. Great photos! My niece and her husband just moved to Colorado in August. I have the ARC for The Family You Make and I’m a big fan of Jill Shalvis. I also want to listen to The Midnight Library. I always have a pile of books I want to read in a few different genres.

Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post

  3. I lived in Greeley on a small commune for about six months. I am always reminded how amazing the mountains are in Colorado when I see photos! 😍

My son is living at home and working right now to save up for his Master’s studies. We have a wonderful state university here and we managed to get him through his Bachelor’s without any student debt. Sometimes he feels weird that he is still living at home, but I think he’ll forget that once he starts his career and doesn’t have a ton of debt to pay off. 😛

Have a wonderful new week. 🌞

    • Thank you. my son is taking a long time to get through school, but I keep reminding him that it’s fine to take a bit longer, especially as he doesn’t have any student debt either. I love the mountains in Colorado too.

  4. I have How to Love Your Neighbor too and I loved Findlay Donovan. I’m looking forward to reading my ARC of book 2. And how great to have your son home while he pursues his Masters. I’m sure it was worth all the work to move him. ❤️

  5. Sounds like a productive week! Your drive to Denver looks beautiful! I would love to check out The Midnight Library and Made in Manhattan. Hope you’re having a great Sunday!

  6. I can’t wait to go to Denver! It’s been on my bucket list for a long time, but primarily for football than anything else.

I’m glad you enjoyed The Midnight Library! I enjoyed listening to it over the summer.

    • Thank you Pam. We didn’t get to see much of Denver on this trip. I love the drive through the mountains more than visiting the city. I hope you’re able to get there soon!

  7. Oh, the fall colors are so pretty! Fall is my favorite time of year. We’re still pretty hot here so I’m just seeing a bit of changes.

Oh, that Jill Shalvis! I requested it but still haven’t had any word back. They approved her collection of novellas I requested, though, so we’ll see. Happy reading, Wendy!
