Friday the 13th is supposed to be an unlucky day. So I thought I would post a list of books, that I have read, or want to read with the word “luck” in the title.
- The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan is a book that’s been on my To Be Read list for a while. It’s a story about family, and relationships.
2. Get Lucky by Katherine Center is a story about a woman who decides to change her luck. It’s a lovely story that I enjoyed very much about families and their relationships.
3. Good Luck With That by Kristan Higgins is a very emotional and often humorous book about three women, friends from camp who are all dealing with weight issues. I loved this book and the relationship between the three women.
#4. Beginners Luck by Kate Clayborn is the first book in her Chance of a Lifetime series which follows three women who share a lottery win. This first book follows Kit Averin, a scientist who wants to use her winnings to buy a home. I enjoyed this series because Kate Clayborn writes about highly intelligent women using humor and a lot of heart in her stories.
#5. Luck of the Draw by Kate Clayborn is the second book in her Chance of a Lifetime series. Luck of the Draw follows Zoe Ferris who was able to use her winnings in the lottery to quit her job as a high-powered attorney. This book includes a fake fiance trope and both main characters have a lot of baggage to overcome.
#6. Best of Luck by Kate Clayborn is the third book in her Chance of a Lifetime series and it follows Greer Hawthorne as she uses her winnings to pursue her long-overdue education. This book finds Greer having to escape her overprotective family and has a hero who is commitment adverse.

Thank you Jolene. I was scheduling a post and saw that it was for Friday the 13th and thought I should do something lucky for that day!
Great list! I haven’t read any of these and have maybe only heard of one. I am not even sure I have read a book about luck before, haha.
Thank you Joanna. We don’t seem to read the same genres, but we do share a love of reading!
What a great idea for a post! I went and searched my Goodreads and I only have ONE book with “luck” in it! It’s “Lucky” by Staci Stallings. I am not superstitious so Friday the 13th does not bother me and I have actually had a pretty good day 🙂 Happy Friday!
Thank you Cindy, I’m so glad you had a good day. I don’t believe in superstitions either.
Oh my gosh Wendy! I didn’t even realize it’s Friday the 13th till I looked at your blog post! 😬🤦🏻♀️📚

Fun way to celebrate Friday the 13th! I read and enjoyed Good Luck With That. I’d like to read Get Lucky as I’ve enjoyed Katherine Center’s stories. Didn’t know about this early one.
Thank you Rachel. I think you’ll enjoy all those books by Katherine Center since you like her other books.

Thank you Tessa! I’ve never been a believer in the Friday the 13th superstition, so I thought I’d turn it around.
Great list! I don’t know if I have read books that particularly features luck.
