Page Count: 352 pages
Publisher: Berkeley
Genre: Women’s Fiction, Romantic Comedy
Synopsis:
A woman struggling with burnout learns to embrace the unexpected—and the man she enlists to help her—in this heartfelt new romance by USA Today bestselling author Helen Hoang.
When violinist Anna Sun accidentally achieves career success with a viral YouTube video, she finds herself incapacitated and burned out from her attempts to replicate that moment. And when her longtime boyfriend announces he wants an open relationship before making a final commitment, a hurt and angry Anna decides that if he wants an open relationship, then she does, too. Translation: She’s going to embark on a string of one-night stands. The more unacceptable the men, the better.
That’s where tattooed, motorcycle-riding Quan Diep comes in. Their first attempt at a one-night stand fails, as does their second, and their third, because being with Quan is more than sex—he accepts Anna on an unconditional level that she herself has just started to understand. However, when tragedy strikes Anna’s family she takes on a role that she is ill-suited for, until the burden of expectations threatens to destroy her. Anna and Quan have to fight for their chance at love, but to do that, they also have to fight for themselves.
Why I Can’t Wait!
I read the first of this series The Kiss Quotient and just adored it. The Heart Principal is the third book in the series, and I have not read the second book The Bride Test, so I’ll have to read both the second and the third books all at once. Should be fun!

[…] I didn’t get the ebook from NetGalley, but I got the Audiobook from them. This was one of my Can’t Wait Books. (Can’t Wait #4) […]
I love the premise behind this one and really want to read it too. I haven’t yet read the The Kiss Quotient, which is on my wish list. I am adding this new one now too! I hope you enjoy it when you read it, Wendy!
Thank you Wendy! I hope we both enjoy this one!
I’m definitely looking forward to this one as I really liked The Bride Test! xx
Thank you Yvonne. I hope it’s as good as her previous books.
I do like romantic comedies. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Cindy, romcoms are my favorite.
I also read Kiss Quotient but not Bride Test. This book sounds really good, though and I am adding it even though I did not read the other one. They are all basically standalones, I think. Nice choice Wendy.
Thank you Carla, I hope to find the time to read both. But, If I don’t, that’s ok too.
Between this Wednesday and next, the book I’m most looking forward to reading is Kylie Scott’s PAUSE, which arrives on July 13. The heroine has been in a coma since a car crash. When she awakens, she discovers her husband has moved on with another woman—her best friend! Then the heroine meets the man who saved her life after the crash. Based on that synopsis, this one almost has an Aly Martinez feel to it.
