9 Books. 6 Friends. 3 Couples. 1 Epic SeriesShe's addicted to sex. He's addicted to booze...the only way out is rock bottom.
No one would suspect shy Lily Calloway’s biggest secret. While everyone is dancing at college bars, Lily stays in the bathroom. To get laid. Her compulsion leads her to one-night stands, steamy hookups and events she shamefully regrets. The only person who knows her secret happens to have one of his own.
Loren Hale’s best friend is his bottle of bourbon. Lily comes at a close second. For three years, they’ve pretended to be in a real relationship, hiding their addictions from their families. They’ve mastered the art of concealing flasks and random guys that filter in and out of their apartment.
But as they sink beneath the weight of their addictions, they cling harder to their destructive relationship and wonder if a life together, for real, is better than a lie. Strangers and family begin to infiltrate their guarded lives, and with new challenges, they realize they may not just be addicted to alcohol and sex.
Their real vice may be each other.
Addicted to You by Krista Ritchie; Becca Ritchie is the first book in their very popular Addicted series. This is a re-release by the publisher with additional bonus material. As I didn’t read it when it was first released back in 2014, I was excited to get a chance to read this bestseller. And I’m so very glad I did!
Lilly is a sex addict and Loren is an alcoholic, and they are hiding their addictions from their families, friends, and the world. Best friends since childhood, they are now in a fake relationship so they can both hide their addictions and continue to fool everyone into thinking they are normal college students.
Addicted to your is raw, intense, and difficult to read at times. These two characters are addicts, and it’s not a happy story at all. This is an angsty, intense story of love and addiction, but also compelling and realistic. I thought Lilly’s story was more compelling for me, as I haven’t read many books about a sex addict and it was so interesting as well as heartbreaking for me to see inside her life of compulsion.
On the surface, both these characters appear to be selfish and self-absorbed, but that’s addiction, isn’t it? The way their addictions dictate their behavior towards each other, their friends, and their family is portrayed in a very heartbreaking and yet also very realistic way. Both these characters tore at my heart as they were ruining their lives and their relationships with their addictions.
The codependency of these characters is also heartbreaking. They need each other in order to continue with their addictions, but when their addictions start to tear open their relationships with each other, we wonder what will happen to their love for each other.
I highly recommend Addicted to You to anyone who enjoys women’s fiction.

This sounds intense and heartbreaking but worth it. Great review!
This sounds super interesting. I love reading books about flawed characters. I also love books that are realistic. I’ve read a book about a drug addict, but it was so unrealistic that it made me angry, lol. Great review!
Sounds quite a hard read seeing the characters destroy themselves with their addictions. And very different from the usual too. I like that this was written by twins.
Addictions are so powerful and so destructive. Good review, Wendy.
You’re so right, Linda!
I tend to gush when I talk about this series. LOL I went on to read (and LOVE) the entire Addicted/Calloway Sister series and it’s still so special to me. I feel like I personally know all of those characters after going thru so much with them. 🙂
Oh, that’s so wonderful to hear. I will read the rest of the series and just can’t wait to get to them.
I can understand that this must be hard to read at times, addiction can be devastating. Great review 💕
It’s difficult, but so good!
Excellent review, Wendy. It sounds like it would be a difficult read, having loved and lived with someone who was an alcoholic, I understand how hard it is to deal with addiction.
Thank you, Carla. It’s a tough read, but also very rewarding.
Great review Wendy! I can only imagine how emotional this story must be from the description. I’m interested in checking this one out. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Thank you!
This sounds intense. Great review, Wendy.
Thank you, Nadene!
Yes, I was happy I picked it up too! I was worried about the angst and the fact that their relationship spans over several books (not a fan of drawn out conflict) but I’m hooked!
It’s so addicting! I’m so glad you’re enjoying it too
This sounds like an intense read.
Thank you, Cathy. it is intense, but it did fly by.
It’s interesting to read book with complex flawed characters. It’s more realistic.
Yes, I agree! Thank you, Chren!
This sounds like a very emotional book with characters suffering from addiction. I’m glad that you enjoyed it enough to give it 5 pinecones! Wonderful review Wendy.
Thank you, Jodie. It’s an emotional one for sure!
