She's just a girl, standing in front of a bookcase, looking for her happily every after... Charlotte's love of romantic literature and 'happily ever after' is a far cry from reality. Putting her own ambitions to one side and settling with her university sweetheart, it has not been a decade of bliss. Changes need to be made, and quick. At a book signing for her favourite author, she meets the handsome and chivalrous Ross. He immediately charms her and wants to see her again. Could this be the romantic, happy ending she was looking for? Debbie brings us her latest romantic comedy where dating and new romances warm our hearts... and give us a little bit of dating fear.
My Review:
One Book Away by Debbie Ioanna is a heartwarming book about love, relationships, and the power to change.
Charlotte has spent a decade with her university sweetheart Sam and her life has not turned out the way she imagined. Charlotte and Sam are in a rut, and their relationship no longer has the spark it used to have. When Sam forgets Charlotte’s birthday, she knows it’s time for a change.
On her own again, Charlotte works on self-improvement. She goes to her brother’s exercise classes, eats better, and begins to feel a lot better about herself. Then when she meets her most beloved author at a book signing, sparks fly.
I enjoyed this book from cover to cover. It’s about relationships and how tough they can be, and I think that is an important message for everyone. But, it’s also light and fun and very enjoyable. The main character, Charlotte was easy to root for and I wanted her to have her happily ever after.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys chick-lit, women’s fiction, and romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
