Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want. Today’s Top 20: Books From My Past Seasonal TBR Posts I STILL Haven’t Read
I usually just post ARCs on my Seasonal TBR lists, and I usually get to all my ARCs, so I went through my TBR list and found these books that I really, really, really want to read soon.
I like that this is also a nice list for me to have to come back to when I have some time to read a book that isn’t an ARC.
1. The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot. They might be out there… but I haven’t seen one bad review of this book.
2. The Secret of Snow by Viola Shipman. I’ve wanted to read this since it came out.
3. Recipe for Persuasion by Sonali Dev. I’ve read the first and 4th books in this series, and I want to read them all.
4. The Jane Austen Socitety by Natale Jenner. I read Bloomsbury Girls, and it has some characters from this book in it, so it made me want to read this.
5. The Duke and I by Julia Quinn. I am loving the Netflix Bridgerton series, but I want to read the books too.
6. November 9 by Colleen Hoover. I’ve read many of her books, but not this one. It sure looks good.
7. One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I’ve read many of her books, but not this one, and it looks good!
8. The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory. I recently read By the Book by Jasmine Guillory, and now I want to read her backlist, starting with her Wedding Date series.
9. The Invisible Husband of Frick Island by Collen Oakley. I saw so many positive reviews that I really want to read it soon.
10. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. I watched the Netflix movie a while ago and really enjoyed it, but I thought that the book would be better.
Do you have books from previous lists that you haven’t read yet? Comment below!
I added The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot to Goodreads! 😊
I’ve had the Potato Peel Pie Society book on my TBR forever. 😯 I own the ebook, so there is really no excuse. 😛
That’s a great list. Have fun reading.
Guernsey is one of my absolute favorites! I listened to the audio and absolutely loved it. It’s one of the few books I would just sit and listen to vs doing other stuff while listening to a book. I enjoyed The Duke and I but my favorite is The Viscount Who Loved Me which I think is the second season of the show but from the summary of the show I read I don’t think I would have liked the show nearly as much as the book.
The setting for The Invisible Husband of Frick Island was nice, but the story was underwhelming. I had hope to love it. Wasn’t a fan of The Wedding Date either. There was such a spotlight on the heroine’s insecurities that it was distracting. Loved The Jane Austen Society, though!
Thank you, Rachel. That’s good to know.
Great topic! I’ve read and enjoyed November 9, Lenni And Margot and The Potato Peel Society of these… I hope to read at least The Invisible Husband Of Frick Island soon!
I hope we both enjoy The Invisible Island! I’m really looking forward to it.
I have a huge TBR list of reads. I’ve read several on your list and loved them. 🙂
That’s so good to know, Sophia!
I loved Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society. This is a great list.
I’m so glad to hear that, Bonnie!
Oh I love your twist! Especially choosing books that aren’t ARCs. The cover on The Secret of Snow is gorgeous! I have mixed reactions with Hoover’s novels, but so far November 9 is my least favorite. I’m in the minority, though. On the other hand, One True Loves has been one of my favorite TJR novels, and I tend to have mixed reactions with hers, as well. I hope you enjoy all of these when you get to them. 🙂
Thank you, Dedra. I’ve heard so many wonderful reviews for One True Loves, I can’t wait to get to it.
So many I want to read! I love a bit of Austen and retellings/reimaginings – I am currently reading Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe!
Have a great week!

You too, Emily!
I liked Invisible Husband of Frick Island. It was good.
I’m so glad to hear that. I’m really looking forward to it.
Hope you find time to read them! My owned book also gets pushed aside for my ARCs.
I just want more time to read!
Great list, Wendy. I have read four of these and they were good, so you have some good reading ahead.
Thank you, Carla! I’m really looking forward to them all.
I love this list Wendy! So many great recommendations here, I still have a long list of books to get through as well haha. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! There are just too many wonderful books out there.
The Invisible Husband of Frick Island was good! I loved the setting.
Oh good! I’m really looking forward to it.
I have waaaayyyy to many to list here, Wendy. So many I want to read, but I need to quit requesting ARCs so I can get to my own list. It’s a sickness, lol.
It is! And NetGalley doesn’t help one single bit!
These all look so good. I have so many on my backlist. It’s embarrassing. Even last books in a series – how have I not read those? Other than the obvious reason, of course.
There are just so many amazing books out there!
The only one I have read is the Sonali Dev book and I loved it.
I love Sonali Dev, so I’m excited to get to it.
These all look good. I have The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society on my bookshelf. I bought it when my book club considered reading it (and I wanted free shipping on another book I was purchasing). It hasn’t made the cut yet, but I know I will read it some day on my own. The Jane Austen Society also sounds interesting.
Thank you, Linda. I am looking forward to getting around to The Guernsey Literary and Potatoe Peel Pie Society soon.
Great list, Wendy. The book was SO much better than the movie for Guernsey! (Of course, I thought that because I read the book first, so you might think differently!) Have a great week!
I am really looking forward to reading it.
The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot was very interesting. I hope you like it!

Thank you, Lydia! I hope so too!
OMG. I love your title, lol. It made me chuckle. I still haven’t read Bridgerton or the Potato whatever the title is Society. They’ve both been on my TBR for a while now. I hope we both enjoy them when we finally read them. 😀
I do too, Jenni!
I have read a few of these and a few are also on my TBR. Guernsey is one of my all time favorite reads! I’m sure you will love it. The one hundred years of Leni and Margot is also lovely. Very well written. And Bridgerton is so much fun!!!
Frick Island is on my TBR and Kindle, just need to get to it….
Elza Reads
I’m so happy you enjoyed those. I really need to cut back on NetGalley and find time to read these!
I’ve read and liked 5, 6, 8, and 10. I own 7 but have yet to read it. I need to get on that. I hope you get to read these and love them soon.
I hope we both have time to get to One True Loves soon!
The Secret of Snow, November 9, and The Potato Peel Society were all awesome reads for me Wendy. Happy reading!!📚🤗💕
Thank you, Susan. That’s good to know!
I’ve got Lenni & Margot still to read too, and I’m the same I haven’t heard any bad reviews 😊 Great list 💕
Thank you, Jenny. I hope we both get a chance to read Lenni and Margo soon.
One True Loves was the first I ever read from Taylor Jenkins Reid and it really started my love for her story telling. I had high hopes for The Invisible Husband of Frick Island but sadly it did not work for me. I was mostly bored.
Oh, that’s good to know about Frick Island. I love TJR, and can’t wait to get to more of her backlist.
So many good books on your list! It’s hard keeping up with all the books you want to read, isn’t it? I know my own TBR list is constantly growing. Happy reading all of these! 😀
Thank you, Lark! Yes the list always grows, but never seems to shrink.
November 9 was my first read by Colleen Hoover. And it hooked me! I read the little novella by Sonali Dev earlier this year and then got to meet her at Book Bonanza and bought the first book in that series and now I need to read it. Love your topic choice here!

Oh wow, Sonali Dev is one of my favorite authors. I’ve read many of Colleen Hoover’s books, but I want to read all of them!
I could go back several years ago to published TBR lists and find lots that I haven’t read yet – it’s an ongoing battle isn’t it? I enjoy Taylor Jenkins Reid and that’s one I haven’t heard of, SO, on my list it goes. 🙂 Thanks for the visit Wendy – you’re the best!
Terrie @ Bookshelf Journeys
Thank you, Terrie! And book blogging makes it so much worse as we find so many amazing books out there that I would have never found on my own.
I need to read One True Loves too. I’ve been meaning to for years and always forget about it.
It sounds so good!
I absolutely loved One True Loves. TJR is such a phenomenal author. The Netflix adaptation of Guernsey was so good! I’ve heard the book isn’t quite as interesting, but maybe in the future, I’ll read it (I typically read books before watching adaptations, but I didn’t know it was an adaptation when I watched it haha). Great round-up here!
I can’t wait for One True Loves! I loved the Netflix adaptation of the Guernsey book too.
Great list! We also have books that have been on our TBR for a while.
It’s so hard to find time for all the wonderful books.
What a fun post! I do have a number of books on my TBR list which have been on there a while. I am finally reading a series I have had on my bookshelf since 2020! I do try and go through my TBR shelf each season and prioritize and edit.
I meant to slow down on NetGalley so I could read more of my backlist, but that’s not working so well for me! Once I get home from my trip, I hope to be able to read more of my TBR.
That’s nice theme to pick. I’ve had the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society sitting on my TBR for ages now; and lots of TJR to catch up with as well.
So many books… So little time! Thank you, Mallika.
Great list of books to get around to! I haven’t read any of these!
Thank you, Amanda! I hope to get to some of these soon.
You definitely have to read 100 years of Lenni and Margot. It is such a fantastic book.
I am really looking forward to that one.
I love Colleen Oakley, I think you will really like that one.
I’m really looking forward to it.
