What I’m up to:
We had a big snowstorm this week. 6 -10″. We expected it, so I was able to get stocked up and we didn’t have to travel in the snow. It’s been super dry up here in Northern Arizona, so we needed the moisture. I don’t think we got enough moisture, but it helped. The dogs love the snow and enjoyed playing together out there. The chickens and turkeys didn’t like it much, so they stayed warm huddled up in their coop.
I was able to get a lot of reading and blogging done, so that was nice.
Last week I read:
I had a very good week of reading! My favorite was A Family Affair by Robyn Carr.
Audiobooks I listened to:
Next week I hope to get to:
What I watched:
1883 is a prequel to the hit show Yellowstone, which I really enjoy. I love the acting in 1883, and the scenery.

Have you read any of these books? What are you hoping to read this next week? What have you been up to last week? Comment below!
We are still getting snow here and I’m more than over it. Ha ha. ⛄
I hope you’ve been having a great week. 🌞
I’m so ready for spring!
I am not a snow fan but my puppy loves it. I think he’s going to be pretty disappointed when he discovers we don’t get it very often here in North Alabama! The Robyn Carr cover is gorgeous and I usually enjoy her more stand alone books. I somehow missed seeing that one but definitely need to pick it up. Hope you are having a wonderful week!
Thank you, Katherine! My dogs love the snow, but as they get older, they don’t like it as much. Kind of like humans!
It’s great you were able to take advantage of the snow and get things done, and get the moisture. I think we are too dry also. I want to read the Wisteria Society and I have it checked out at the library.
Thank you, Anne. The Wisteria Society was very good, I hope you enjoy it.
All the books you read last week look interesting. I really want to read Naima Simone’s book.
Thank you, Alicia! It sure looks good.
It’s always great when the weather allows you to get things done, like reading!
Yes! I agree.
You certainly had a fabulous reading week! I haven’t read those books, but have enjoyed those authors!
Thank you, Patricia! I hope you have a great week.
In OK we ended up with a lot of black ice out of this last storm, and it took multiple days to get warmer temps. Even the dogs with their 4 paw drive had trouble making it outside to take care of business. Walks were definitely out of the question as I sure don’t want a fracture from a fall. I am glad I don’t have chickens and turkeys any more. I look back with no fondness on having to go out in the cold to break ice in their waterers. You probably have a better setup than we did in early marriage. (But there’s nothing like fresh eggs!) Have a great week!
Oh no! Black ice is so much worse than snow. I’m glad you survived. My husband does most of the chicken chores, but yes, they are a lot of work.
Nice to see how organized you are with your blogging and reading. It’s always good to curl up with books on snowy days. Have a good week!
Thank you very much! I have time to keep organized as I’m retired, and my kids are grown up.
That’s a lot of snow. At least you were prepared. I don’t think I’d like driving in it. I can sympathize with the chickens and the turkeys, however my grandkids would be like your dogs and be loving it, lol. Well, until they get their gloves wet. Then they’re not so happy, haha.
I’m looking forward to that Robin Carr. I’m signed up for the blog tour on it since I love her writing so much I’m sure I enjoy it too.
I just finished A Family Affair and just loved it!! I think you will too as it’s Robyn’s style.
I might have to check out 1883 as I really like Sam Elliot he such a good actor.
He’s very good in 1883.
Ooh, you’ve got some great books there, I added a few to my Goodreads TBR. We got all that snow a couple weeks ago, a tiny bit of snow this past week, and then are supposed to have 70s this coming week! I haven’t watched Yellowstone, but should probably give it a try. Hope you have a great week!
Thank you, Lisa! I hope you have a great week!
No snow here, we got into the 70s this week. Today is cool and rainy.
The 70s sounds wonderful!!! I hope you have a great week, Cindy.
We also had a ginormous snowstorm in my neck of the woods. I was supposed to take my husband to the airport, but the roads were so bad that he ended up using transit to get there instead.
Oh, that is a good idea. Driving on snowy roads is so difficult.
Glad you enjoyed your snow day Wendy!⛄️ 💖📚
Thank you, Kaycee!
My dog used to love the snow as well. We had to literally drag him in at night.
Looks like you had a good week of reading. Hope the next one’s enjoyable as well!
Thank you, Mallika! I hope you have a great week too!
Ooh some snowfall. We got a little but not that much. I like the look of the Deveraux book. And Wisteria has such a nice cover.
I’ll have to check out that show!
Thank you, Greg! Snow is always welcome here in Arizona. 1883 is very good. I hope you enjoy it if you find it.
Glad you got some snow! We need a lot more of that out here in the West, don’t we?
Yes, sadly, I don’t think it was enough snow yet. I hope we get more.
Glad you were able to stock up and stay safe in the snow!
I really enjoyed The Wisteria Society when I read it–I bet the audio is a lot of fun if it’s done well!
Thank you, Amanda! It was very fun on audio!
Sounds like you live on a farm! I might raise chickens when I retire. I’ll ask you for tips if I do.
I also have Lessons in Chemistry on the list. Looking forward to it.
We have a couple of acres in a rural area. The chickens are fun to raise, we get some eggs, but it’s just fun to watch them run around.
That’s a lot of snow! We got about 2 inches of ice and we’ve been trapped in the house for way too long lol. I can’t wait to get outside today.
Thank you, Carrie! Most of our snow has already melted.
That was quite a big snow! It’s always nice when you don’t have to go anywhere because you can just enjoy the beauty of it 😍
I agree! I like to watch the snow and know I don’t have to travel in it, and it will melt shortly.
Hope you have a great week 💕
Thank you, Jenny!
Looks like a good week, Wendy. I am glad I am not dealing with snow. I have the Jude Deveraux and Robyn Carr books to read soon. I have been watching All Creatures Great and Small as well as The Guilded Age. Have a great week.
Thank you, Carla! I still have to watch All Creatures Great and Small.
