Look What My Son Brought Home!
My son has a special knack for finding and bringing home lost dogs. Usually, we find the owners in a few hours, but this dog appears to have been abandoned by his owners. All we know is that he lived in a very small apartment with 3 other dogs. He’s large and has a lot of energy!
He seems to like it here with us, he gets along with our other dogs and is loving our huge backyard to play and run around in. We didn’t really want another dog, especially so soon after our Nessie passed just last week, but, we can’t turn him away! Our daughter named him Balto.
Last week I read:
Another week without much reading done. Good thing I haven’t been requesting much either. I enjoyed both these books very much, but they are VERY different!
Next week I hope to get to:
What Am I Watching:
Since our new dog is a Siberian Husky and his name is Balto, we decided we needed to watch the movie again.
And since I was reading In Every Generation, and they had a lot of the original characters in it, I watched a few shows of Buffy The Vampire Slayer to remind me who is who. It’s streaming free on Hulu.

Enjoy your surprise addition to the family!
I need to read Up to No Gouda soon as well, but I want to focus on holiday books. And it doesn’t release for over a month, so I’ve got time!
Pam
Thank you Pam. I hope we both enjoy Up To No Gouda!
Balto is gorgeous! His coloring is so striking. I’m glad you loved In Every Generation too. It’s funny, I watched some relevant episodes too after I read it and one before. It’s so fun revisiting Buffyverse.
Thank you Tessa. I did enjoy In Every Generation, and I was only a casual viewer of the series.
It’s really amazing to help stray dogs. I’m planning to finish last book of Crazy rich Asians trilogy and hopefully start another book I got from the publisher.
Thank you Yesha. We have too many stray dogs around here. Luckily our dogs know how good they have it here and don’t try to escape!
And now I want to watch BALTO!!! Loved that movie! That furry guy is handsome. Enjoy Balto!
Thank you Jolen, that movie is so cute! It was fun to watch it again after so many years. .
What a beautiful dog! I hope he makes a wonderful addition to your family!
Thank you Greg, so far he’s doing great!
Balto looks so sweet. Sometimes we don’t know what we need until it appears. Have a wonderful week, Wendy.
Thank you Carla, so far, Balto has been a wonderful addition to our family.
Balto is the perfect name!!
Thank you! He’s a sweetie!
I love Balto and am glad he’s fitting into your family. Happy reading!
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Thank you Anne, Balto is a great addition to our family! Have a great week.
Balto is a great name choice! I remember the animated movie. 🙂
Thank you Lectrice, my kids loved that movie too!
Welcome, Balto! I hope he has a wonderful life for you. He looks so friendly.
I’m sorry for the loss of Nessie.
Thank you Lydia! He’s settling in really well!
I was approved for No Ex Before Marriage…wonder where I got that idea, LOL!
I just finished No Ex Before Marriage and I loved it! Hope you do too!
Balto is a very beautiful dog. And you’re awesome for taking him in!
Thank you Lark! He’s such a sweetheart, he’s part of the family already.
It bring joy to my heart that you opened up your home to take in Balto! I know it’s hard to think about another animal when just losing a beloved pet, but it’s hard to turn away an animal in need. Sounds like he has a nicer situation with you and your family and I’m sure he enjoys the space and love you provide!
Yay for Buffy! Makes me want to start watching again. I’m going to check out the book.
Thank you Rachel, when adopting a dog, we always get more joy from them then we can imagine. Balto is already settled in and part of the family.
Balto is so cute! Looks like you’ve had a great week, I hope this upcoming week goes just as well for you.
Thank you Rae! I hope you have a great week too!
Have a lovely week 💕
Thank you! You too Jenny!
Aww, Balto is adorable! I want a husky someday because they’re my favorite kind of dog, but I don’t know if I can deal with all the hair. The ones I’ve met shed A LOT. Good luck with it!
Thank you, and you’re right! I’m already sweeping up more than I’m used to.
